I would use Miliput the fine stuff will hold almost as much detail & is much more wear resistant

Michael, David told me it was Gamesworkshop brass etched,

watch out for more inspiration as MR Imrie and I get in gear for a project with very BIG units.. a la last years Napoleonic effort

Any guess as to how he did the "green sprig" with the view to making it "wargames resistant"? I have thought of a short length of brass wire imbedded into the hat and then building the sprig with some type of "green stuff". Would that ultimately be indestructible enough for gaming?
