Look amazing even without the heads! and buttons lots of shinny buttons to paint, I think once you paint them it makes the figures uniform stand out more if you know what I mean.

Thanks for all the input. I got the Baccus CD and it was pretty useful.

Prussian and Danish infantry dolls to head off for casting shortly.

I don't have the latest English Hall CD on Brandenburg-Preußen, but I do have an earlier monograph by August Kühn, which is very detailed and a set of color plates by Kühn and Hall that appear to be the basis for the current CD. The line drawings in the Goldberg work clearly show the sword belt under the coat. Most of the color plates do not show a belt, but those that do show it under coat. There is one exception, but this is clearly labeled as a Grenadier in "unterrock." The cuffs on the coats vary, so I would recommend getting the CD.

The older work is entitled "Materialien zum Spanischen Erbfogkrieg - Teil 20 - Brandenburg-Preußen.

yup, we are carefully reading all of these replies and many good points have been made.

The accuracy versus commerce dynamic is always prominent in our planning. So far we have been pretty careful but if anything we have come down a little more on the accuracy side rather than the commerce. This is a fine balance.

Historically accurate figures which sell on a very limited basis will eventually cause an implosion but we are nowhere near that situation at the moment.

If core ranges sell in sufficient volumes these can to an extent, subsidise necessary but commercially non viable components in the range.

Our GNW range has done well so far and is on track in terms of sales. The larger Warfare perspective is even more healthy and commercially robust.

Prussians of the period are potentially as specialized in their way as Swedes but much less popular. It is likely that we will produce enough to allow regiments to be modelled accurately but not in the kinds of volumes seen for either the Swedes or Russians

As Prussia is at this time not Prussia but Electorate (KUR)-BRANDENBURG it may help for narrowing the search.
Talking about search... a swift look into it brought the following:

I've been considering the Kuhn/Hall CD, but I am worried its just going to contain info useful for painting, and not go into aspects useful for sculpting like coat styles/cuts (this is a recurring problem with uniform source books). Can anyone who has it speak to that aspect?
Under stand where you are coming .but for the sake of argument doing say specific figures for prussians would it be a big seller after all warfare is a business after all.would any one actually notice if the cross belts wern,t correct as after all most people will look at the standard of the painting of the figures.thats what i like about ebor generic figures but specialist figures for grenadiers french ect.

I would agree i would love to see a range of warfare figures in tricornes.as i said in another post as much as i like the ebor range there are hugh gaps in the range.so there is an opertunity to get a good foothold in the market.

I know of at least one person (besides myself) wanting warfare infantry in tricornes. It's clearly one of the main missing things from the range given the amount of tricorned cavalry.

I agree that generic figures would be good sellers.

Just a suggestion but would we be better doing a generic range of figures in tricornes rather than for specific countries. Then they could be used for most nations.the main difference would be grenadier caps.to be honest ebor have the right idea they have a range of generic infantry in tricornes and special figures like prussian grenadiers ,british and dutch grenadiers.you would probably sell more of these figures as well.

Knötel does show grenadiers with the sword belt inside the coat. I agree that the Kuhn/Hall CD is probably your best source. Baccus6 has it a very reasonable price. With 19 plates, it covers the army quite well.
