Re: SALUTE 13

Luckily visit to daughter coincided with salute - success. I had planned to spend the day just seeing the sights, but got conscripted by the Lance & Longbow to help out on the Cravant game and had a great days gaming. I finished back at my daughter's for the first BBQ of the year - an excellent day ...

Seems that one point has been missed in the BP forum thread. If the first charging unit is destroyed then all the "supporting" units have to test. Therefore it is possible for the unit in the second rank to be destroyed as well. BTW we don't calculate the effect of closing fire until all the units h...

Nice to pop by and see the table being set up. Unfortunately my time was severly limited as I was off to Skye on holiday and SWMBO was waiting in the the car.

Just wish I had a bit more time to chat.

Nice to see it all laid out very early in the day, unfortunately I was on the way to Skye so I couldn't hang around to see how it all went.

You could always apply my mates approach and convince the wife it's cheaper to get your figures pro-painted rather than get a professional painter in to paint the house.

Guess what, the new army was ready quicker than the hose was painted.

I think it only works once!

Looks like a smart move providing "enough heads to kit the whole unit out in either mirlitons, colpacks, three different types of bell-top shakos (one of which is covered) or the later cylindrical shakos"

My impression from the first picture was SYW hussars Huzza!

lovely Grenadiers.

Thanks for the info, I thought it might be the Robert Hall CD, shame it's so expensive.

Funcken Lace Wars shows a grey coat with dark red cuffs in 1710 and that's what I used.

Image

It wasn't clear for the officers so I used a dark red coat in contrast.

Jeff, nice buildings for very little cash, did you see the article in Battlegames on using novelty teapots as a source of buildings?

I agree with the paint brush handle approach (or a large paper clip for small flags). I use UHU rather than PVA as I find it flexs better.

My technique is to surf the web and see waht everyone else has done. I went with some very basic colours with mine. Red and Linen plus some violet http://willwarweb.blogspot.com/2007/01/more-macedonians.html http://bp0.blogger.com/_99o2TsWplbI/RbIYy-cd9OI/AAAAAAAAABU/CwyhF2tDc9w/s400/Macedonian-10.J...
