Re: 28mm buildings for a not-Plancenoit town?

I might consider http://www.totalbattleminiatures.com/skirmish/15mm/westerneurope.html , their 15mm skirmish scale would work for 28mm, and their western europe range has some nice buildings which would work for a small town or village. They also have some town/village tiles that one could use to co...

Hi Toggy,

I think the question was not about whether the squares broke or not, but what happened to the cavalry after they had attacked a square.

I am sure it was quite a spectacle at the game with the large cavalry units, hopefully one day I will get to see something similar.

That was a great post Barry. I have one question, do you think it is possible to test that specific scenario in isolation (run a cavalry against a square multiple times to see what the ratio of results are.....god I must sound crazy) to come up with a meaningful conclusion. I really like your statem...

I have little experience with wargaming, especially in comparison to Ray and William. I have followed this debate with interest though. On the face of it, I have to believe that William has a point. His argument does not appear to be related to how successful cavalry were against square, but rather ...

I would like to say that William has done a great job, in reorganizing the information from the book. His cheat sheets are also quite invaluable to the 28 mm gamer with only 2 sheets needing the info re-converted back to 28mm usage.

I should also say they are quite nice looking.

Well done,

I would be quite happy to have them, certainly willing to pay P&P as well as a per figure price, I am just trying to get my waterloo forces up and these figures would be great to have. Would pay via paypal.

BUA's Clarifiaction

I find the BUA discussion in the rulebook is one of the most useful and interesting parts. The whole concept of fixed scale BUA's in most rulesets really makes it almost impossible to use all those beautiful terrain pieces that are available. To look at the terrain piece as being representative rath...

Gunfreak, Why do you not try Clarence's starter scenario, which is 4 battalions of vs 2 battalions. Just change out the Spanish for British. You have enough troops, and it would be a nice way for you to get your feet in. Here is the link: http://quindiastudios.blogspot.com/2010/01/starter-scenario-f...
