First Game Question

Hi Clarence We played our first game of VWQ today and thoroughly enjoyed it. can't wait to get another game organized! There were a couple of questions that came up though principal of which was the following one regarding officer cards. When an officers card is drawn, can he issue an order to every...

Thanks Dave. I think we covered most (if not all of) of the points you made. I do have some pictures I'll post them on my blog when I get a chance and put a link on "Fighting Talk".

Cheers

Cavalry Charges

Hi Guys. I had my first "proper" game of R2E at the weekend and we came on a situation in move two that caused Peter and I to do a fair bit of head scratching. In the end we came to a solution that was mutually acceptable but I'm not 100% convinced we got it right. I'd be really grateful if one of t...

Hi Ray.

I have Front Rank, Victrix and Perry all hapilly mixed together. If anything the Front Rankers are a little more chunky but height wise, they're a great match.

As Peter mentioned, Foundry are true 25's and won't go well with any of the above.

Cheers

Thanks Clarence and Dave.

That clears things up nicely. In answer to your question Dave, yes I did remember that only one battalion actually "fights"

Rallying up routers

Playing a game with my son today and we came across something that I need to have clarified.: 2 x French attack columns charge a wavering British line (Wellington would spin in his grave!). The British Line routs after one round of comabat and buggers off 13" The French hold their position and have ...

Firstly you say Lasalle’s “points system seems to lend it towards competition gamers”. I would put it a lot more strongly than that. I think ALL of Lasalle is unashamedly aimed at competition / tournament gamers! There’s nothing wrong with that of course, but it does explain why the rules have done...

Artillery Question

Forgive my ignorance. but where in the rule book does it cover counter battery fire for artillery? I'm sure they are in there somewher but I'm bu*$#$@d if I can find them! I just know I'm missing something obvious but I have to ask. Thoroughly enjoying the rules by the way. I tried out "Black...

Well done guys!

Thanks Guys.

My only concern is that Front Rank may not fit in with the Perry Plastics too well but that's not a big issue

Just going of on a slight tangent here. Does anyone know of a manufacturer who produces pre 1812 Light Dragoons (in the Tarleton helmet) ?.

Nah, your not old fashioned at all. I still prefer lead to plastic but 'needs must' and all that. Given the current financial crisis plastics are really quite attractive. I was also pleasantly surprised at the quality of the casting, especially the Napoleonic stuff. Both Perry and Victrix have done ...

Can't wait to receive the rules mate! I forgot how much fun it was painting Napoleonics. The only problem with plastics is that you tend to buy waaaaay too many at a time because they are so cheap. So far I have the best part of a British and French Napoleonic armies, a huge Republican Roman army, 4...
