Partizan

Speaking/writing as a novice i think that on the whole i would echo barrys comments about the show. It was tough getting there for us (5hrs each way in the car) but was ultimatly worth it. the venue alone was simply stunning and but for the inclement weather would have been worth the journey alone. ...

Do you have any info on when these sets will be...

the league

hi Barry, I think you should give some of us in the club a little bit of experience in this period. More and more of us are looking at alternative periods and this one certainly looks very good to me.We could certainly give the ULB rules a good bashing to see what interested "amatuers" can make of it

gallery

I must admit that i`ve been quite facinated by the gallery. I`ve had the oppertunity to look through all of it so far and have been pleasantly impressed by the variety and history on offer. This isn`t a period that i knew much about. The previous entry told me a LOT more about what was going on at t...

NEW THOUGHTS

I`ve had a look at sgt steiners suggested site and thought it looked interesting.I also seem to be being pushed towards thracians thanks to some very nice 15mm Xystos figures kindly given to me.I`ll have to find some reference plates and have a go at painting them as they are very nice and crisp fig...

Battle Size

I think that i`d like to have a look at doing battles on a medium to large scale. Armies as opposed to skirmishes. I also would like a rule set that wasn`t to basic,I`m all for easily finished games when everyone is limited in time but i`d like to see something a bit more involved for when we have t...

Ancient Rules

Has anyone got a good rationale for favouring any one particular set of ancient rules(i`m thinking greek-alexandrian-roman period)over all the others out there. I`d love to hear peoples opinions.
