Re: Huguenot Officers

I would avoid red as it was the traditional colour of French Catholicism. The Huguenots in the Wars of Religion often went into battle in their plain white commoner's "camise" and the officers wore white sashes. White is the colour most closely associated with the Huguenots for religious and politic...

Re: English Train of Artillery uniforms in Flanders 1692-3

Ray,
Which one of Chandler's books provides that description? For the period I'm interested in, 1692-3, that seems to contradict both Sapherson and Grant on the train of artillery (unless I'm reading the entries incorrectly). The uniform you describe they state is the post-1697 uniform.

English Train of Artillery uniforms in Flanders 1692-3

Ok, as I begin to assemble my Anglo-Dutch army and read, and buy, more reference material I am left scratching my head a bit about English uniforms for the artillery train in Flanders. Grant and Sapherson give details for Ireland and post 1695 in Flanders. So, my question, perhaps a silly one, is di...

Excellent and very helpful, thank you. I look forward to seeing Regiment 2A as that is what I will be painting first!

Gents, thanks for that information, fantastic. My next purchases are the various Hall CDs on the Dutch and Germans and the Kuhn book as well. I think my research material will far outstrip the costs of the figures themselves!

Thanks for that info. Into my army he goes! Now I just need to get the uniform and flag correct.

Re: Flags by Quindia Studios

Actually we have printed them off in smaller scales when requested to by customers. The size has to be specified ie a recent order to be used with 15mm figures requested infantry flags of 20mm square. As we use a very high resolution printer the detail remains pretty true. Prices will of course be ...

Re: Flags by Quindia Studios

Is there any chance of these lovely flags being offered in a size suitable for the superb LOA 10mm range from Pendraken? I've opted for this scale to be able to do really large games and would love to be able to use these flags for my armies.

Re: Regiment Bois D'avid, Luneburg-Zell

Thanks for the info gents, much appreciated. I know that a Luneburg-Zell infantry regiment was one of the regiments that came up and helped hold off the French at Steenkirk for a bit and I was going to use this one for that role. Google does tell me that Glozier in his book on Huguenot soldiers says...

Regiment Bois D'avid, Luneburg-Zell

Does anyone have any info on a possible flag for this regiment. They are going to be part of my Anglo-Dutch army, but I am coming up "null points" on my google fu regarding them (other than Colonel Bois d'avid being a Huguenot refugee).

Allied OOB for Landen (Neerwinden)

Does anyone have a full OOB for the Allies at Landen/Neerwinden? I have the British (as detailed in a much earlier thread), but would like to see all the Allied regiments if it is known. Thanks for any help.

I would love to see 10mm LOA/9YW figures. I looked at the current range from Pendraken and was put off, especially given how nice the AWI figures are. Get sculpting!

Hi Wim, You met up with me, David Black, and JP on the train to Salute. We picked up our copies of BLB on the day as well. I'm interested in LOA/9YW, but unfortunately the Pendraken line for this is one of the old ones and after looking at them at Salute I don't think I'll be buying any. I might go ...
