Ok i just bought a copy of ‘With Talon and Claw’ over Christmas.... nice, nice book....so very well done. Now we are (or have been) keenly interested in wars on the other side of Europe during this period..... after both of us spent time going through it....well we are now going to be investing in O...

Re: WE'RE BACK! NOT SURE HOW THOUGH!

Like everyone else I am glad the board is back & we didn't have to wait until the 28th.....

I sure hope Stuart is enjoying himself as I get the feeling when he gets back his passport may get revoked.....:)

Re: Alternate VWQ Figure Basing

Ah ... I added a 3rd line of pike in some of my inf rgt's.. They serve no purpose other then to let me add another flag to the block... I find from a distance the extra flags add nicely to the game.... Also a chance to expand & add a 4th or 5th captains flag which isn't normally seen. It also makes ...

Re: Using VWQ for 16th century games

Jeff I think we have played about 4 games. I think the biggest was 5 players. Problems .... Some with the brevity of the rules, so we added explanations in. We added a factor for a pure flank attack. Not sure I remember all.. But mostly clarifications. I think the biggest game had about 5 inf rgt's ...

When your health gets better I would like to invite you over to the mainland for a game! Clarence has inspired an ECW revival in two prov...

Re: What's your technique...

While not any painting expert...I used to have the same problem, including a slightly shaking hand. My 'secret' was to find a number 0/1 brush that had about a 1" bristle on it. I usually lock my hand against something firm & then run the brush down a line like a belt etc... The trick is the brush h...

Barry

As a cannon orderer...Let us know if we have to chip into the "marital bliss & harmony" fund to help bail you out of it. Doesn't sound like the international mobile office concept may be working for you.....:)

When firing what is the interpretation of a unit or part unit being able to fire between a gap of friendly troops to the opponents? We used a one stand width when it came up. Secondly we had a situati...
