Hi Barry, The dah rule seems to work very well when a unit is being charged, but is there anything to stop it being formed in advance using a form. i.e. Preparing in advance of a possible charge on the unit. I note the unit in this formation of course can't move and has reduced fire power. Had a Jac...

I don't use anything else.. would definitely not use a spray varnish of any kind.
Barry do you use this over a gloss, or just it's own?
I have tried and got a sheen even with a hair drier, but was trying over a gloss.
Thks
Have just finished my 28mm Riever Castings Scottish Jacobite Army, flags are from the Flag Dude. Enjoyed painting these very nice figures. http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l207/nytullett23/019-1.jpg http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l207/nytullett23/032-1.jpg http://i97.photobucket.com/albums/l207/...
Thanks for your help on getting the images inbeded in posts, got there in the end.
Nice work, the units look like they mean business!
Sorry to see the varnish reaction to damp air, I find varnishing the worst bit of putting a unit together, hours of hard work can be wasted if it's not right.
Thks for the comments Barry, I ordered the vast bulk of my Irish from Dixon, they are nice figures, at the time the only semi complete range for the wars, and I my intention was to use Reiver for the odd differant unit. After painting these chaps I wish I had gone with them from the start! One...
After 30 years of only painting 15, 10 & 6mm figures I have been bitten by BLB in the grand scale. This is the first 28mm unit I have painted in 30 years. They are James Foot Gauard - The figures are 28mm Reiver Castings, these are big chaps, they are based on 60mm frontage, I know there is some dis...
Barry, Could I put forward a suggestion that a "frequently asked questions and answered page\info sheet" be put together for BLB. I think the rules are great, and have resulted in me selling off most of my 15mm armies to get big in 25/28mm using BLB but there seems to be a number of players like mys...
I am forming a Irish Jacobite Army using Dixon figures for BLB and having a real issue with coat colours and flag details. Apart from Sapherson 's William III at War Scotland & Ireland is there any other useful information that anyone is aware of that would give assistance with painting.
Hi, I have just have my second enjoyable game of BLB :D which went quite smoothly, grateful to all of you who have raised issues on this forum, I have a few extra issues which I would be very grateful if some clarification could be given on. :? Strategic Movement – this is mentioned in the play sequ...
