As i said to john i,ve only started to read the book.but what i,ve read so far is exellent.as i commented on amazon about the 1st edition of the book .in years to come yoir book on aughrim will be the text book on the subject.

To be honest john in the chapters i,ve read i,d say no.is the book worth getting i,d say yes.as i,ve said the only difference i can see are the illustrations and the appendix.but as i,ve said havn,t finished the book.but it still is an exellent read.

Don,t think that they were.i,m presuming that the prussian grenadier battalions were composet battalions as in the seven years war.

Many thanks to lee and john for their suggestions.think johns idea of mixing the bases with musketeers pikemen and scythe men sounds good as this would give it a ragged sort of appearence compared to the royalist army.

Its an expanded version of the old book the illustrations are different rather than battle scenes it has 5 pages of uniforms and 3 pages of flags .i,m reading it just now and as far as i can make out the appendixs are the main difference compared to the old version of it.

How would you base a unit of mommouths troops for blb
I base my nine years war troops on 4x60x60 bases.1 x pike base 2x musketeer bases and i command base.
Due to the make up of monmouths u its i,m not sure how to set up a unit.
