Re: Help with a ruling needed please!

Thanks, I think, as a group of players, we have found several things in the rules that we have had to make rulings on ourselves. Sadly, this usually happens mid game, which is not the best time!!! I am sure sooner or later, we will have nothing else left to clarify or query!!!! Its still a good set ...

Re: Help with a ruling needed please!

I had read the passage quoted, and it does not IMHO cover the situation I described. It covers charging the flank of squadrons etc (not the front) and Multiple winners of a close combat, either unformed or forming. Either way, I think my proposed solution is likely the one we will use for this situa...

Re: Help with a ruling needed please!

I guess, from the lack of replies, no one else can find the answer in the rules either! I have decided that it will probably be best to allow separate dismounted dragoon stands from the same regiment to form a temporary unit, this will allow their firing, especially at extreme range to have some eff...

Help with a ruling needed please!

Hi guys, I had another game of BTLB 2 today, and an odd situation occurred, a pair of dismounted dragoon squadrons were stood in line, and a Bavarian Kuirassier squadron charged them from the front. On contact he found he was in contact with the front of both dragoon stands. I had a good look throug...

Re: A couple of queries about BTLB2 rules.

Well, we had another game on Saturday and have decided the Support rule is far too savage, and IMHO actually spoiled the game! (The write up is on my blog at: http://herkybird-richardbradley.blogspot.co.uk/2015/03/lily-banners-lacking-support.html Next game, we will use this; If there are 2 (not rou...

Re: A couple of queries about BTLB2 rules.

After e-mailing Barry, I have accepted his valid reasoning for the Support rule making even 2 units of the same brigade in order and close isolated.
I think i will have to change my style of play!

Re: BENEATH THE LILY BANNERS ADDENDA AVAILABLE NOW!

Sorry I am late answering! Having come late to BTLB2, we initially had some difficulties finding some rules, as they seemed to be in different places within the rules. as we got more familiar with the system, we ironed these out! :? We rapidly found this is a game we wanted to play and are essential...

Re: A couple of queries about BTLB2 rules.

I don't think you are reading that rule correctly. Supported: 2 units from own brigade, steady and within command distance. Neither supported or isolated 1 unit from own brigade + 1 from another brigade meeting the same conditions unless it is a 2 unit brigade originally. I will of course have to l...

Re: A couple of queries about BTLB2 rules.

Thanks for the ruling, I will pass it on to my friends and we will play on happily! 8) One query though, in point 2, the rules seems to make a unit from a different brigade more important than a unit in its own brigade regarding support! Surely this must be wrong!? I would have thought if 2 battalio...

Re: BENEATH THE LILY BANNERS ADDENDA AVAILABLE NOW!

I seriously wish someone would do this for BTLB2, as there are several rules which are far from clear IMHO.

A couple of queries about BTLB2 rules.

Hi everyone! We had a game of BTLB2 today to try to get more convercent with the rules, many of our previous games have been disrupted by discussions about what parts of the rules mean! Today, we found 3 areas of difficulty we could not find answers to in the rule book: 1) A cavalry squadron routed ...

Hartischer Life garde flag

Hi all!
Does anyone have any idea what flag the Hartischer cavalry unit used in the WSS?

Any help would be gratefully received! :?:

A Points system for BTLB2

Greetings!

I have had a go at doing a points system for BTLB2! - I thought it might be a useful tool for quick 'throw-away games'.

Its downoadable from our clubs downoads page at: http://tynesidewargames.co.uk/downloads.html

I hope it works for you...if you need one!

Happy Gaming :D
