Re: Crisis in Donnybrook???

Sorry, Renooij, but I'm with Barry on this one. He was at his demo table all day long and if you wanted a chat, he was more than willing to oblige (as always :D ).

Re: Sources on terrain in Spanish Netherlands?

I'm Flemish and live on the Dutch/Belgian border near the old fortified town of Hulst. There are still a fair number of fortified places around here, but if it's landscape you're after, google " Nederlandse schilders 17de eeuw landschap " or " Vlaamse schilders 17de eeuw landschap " (= Dutch or Flem...

First testgame...

We started this project (2 of us at TSA...) in November 2013 and with our first batches of figures painted, we had a playtest last night. The rules still need some tinkering, but it looks promising. It is not a hex-based game as such: we only use Kallistra hexes (in this case) because it is simple m...

They are Lekker! Splendid stuff. I also like the buildings, who are they made by? If I only knew... They are 2/3rd of a HO Railway station plastic kit I picked up at a flea market for a couple of Euros a few years ago. It went into the "to do" container together with an identical one I picked up - ...

Thank you. It works well for me and I find it especially fast & handy for painting faces (at which I'm not very good otherwise :) ).

Re: GNW Swedish Battalion

Nice & inspiring! "My next sweeds will be darker blue". My advice: buy a bottle of 73.207 Blue Wash (Vallejo) and apply it over the blue: details will be enhaunced and the blue will turn darker. Use enough of the product so that it can set in the lower sculpting details and once applied (say, after ...

Re: Last regiment finished (for this year, at least...)

Can I ask for the colors you used on the reds? In order to answer this correctly, I need to explain my fastpaint method to you... My method is based (mostly) on the use of inks and reversing the usual paint process. A. First the model is undercoated grey (cheap spraycans) and then the undercoat is ...

Re: Last regiment finished (for this year, at least...)

I'm pleasantly suprised by the Dixon figures, either they are very good figures, or you are a fantastic painter(mabye both) They look close to FR in scale and quality. Thank you for your comment. ( Sorry to say... ) I'm not a fantastic painter, but - after more than 40 years of painting metal figur...
