Re: New Book on Battle od Helsingborg (nicht Danish)

Number 1 is interesting given that evidence supports Danish horse closing with pistols and then charging home with swords in Ireland 20 years earlier.

The book is supposedly en route, but then so is Christmas!

Agreed, although when in Kbh they tend towards shouting slowly in skånske, which is less helpful

Re: New Book on Battle od Helsingborg (nicht Danish)

So the Danes were successful until they couldn't pretend they'd misunderstood what their officers had said. Is that your arguement, a dangerous combination of vocal clarity and incompetence?

Karsten does solid research. He's helped me a great deal on the reenactment side.

As a sometime senior ensign, I'd be remiss to make such an error

I'm certainly behind schedule, but will have finished all the infantry and another unit of cavalry at least.

Many thanks, last batch of skirmishers: 28mm figures by Foundry with more than a few head swaps as they all come in forage cap. http://i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd141/jannerxi/Napoleonics/IMG_3003_zpsqtdyhy8w.jpg More photos here, as usual, http://jannersjaunt.blogspot.dk/2016/09/skirmishing-jager...
