Re: WARFARE GARDES FRANCAISES - NEWS IS OUT HERE!

Hi Redmist;

The French are en route now. I will email you when they come in and, yes, we will have the battalion packs. For anybody attending Milleniumcon, we hope to have them available; however, they may be delayed due to the government "slimdown."

Re: Pikemen at Fleurus

Hello gentlemen;

All of my sources, admittedly secondary sources, idenify Lewenhaupt as a Swedish regiment in Dutch sevice. It was almost totally destroyed at Fleurus.
If Saxony also had a Lewenhaupt, I wonder if there is a family connection.

Re: WARFARE IN THE UNITED STATES

Hello Greg; Thanks for the compliment. Can I suggest that you base for Donneybrook but use thin trays to hold the Donnybrook bases when you game the Scanian War? I am planning to do this in order to do some actions with "Snapphaner" guerillas in the war. It's good to see someone else here in the Sta...

Re: WARFARE IN THE UNITED STATES

Thanks Clarence;

I will update the link. I will also make use of your generous offer of photos. When one of the finest miniature painters in the U.S. makes such an offer, you don't pass it up.

Thanks again.

Re: French Infantry Regiment 'Plessis-Praslin'

Probably, the most comprehenisve informationon liveries for French drummers is found in Robert Hall's work on the French army. Not only did he consult all the standard works and try to exhoaust the standard sites where informaiton could be expected, he checked various notary records where cloth was ...

Gentlemen;

It looks like it takes only a paint job to create the Gardes du Corps as opposed to the Gardes te Paard. Great stuff.
