Re: Bonnie blue flag ACW rules

Hi Rohan, Firstly an apology for taking so long to reply to your inquiry. I am currently working on the Napoleonic version of Bonnie Blue Flag for future publication along with a Sudan version. Both are well under way and I am about to write up the draft manuscripts. The Napoleonic rules in particul...

Re: Bonnie blue flag ACW rules

Dave, Glad you are enjoying the rules and experimenting with them. Although they are written for ACW they have been easily adapted for a number of 19th conflicts from Napoleonics to Indian Mutiny and Crimea, our game at Carronade this year used a variant for Wars of the Roses and we have staged a ga...

Re: Bonnie blue flag ACW rules

Steve Advantage of firing in line rather than in supported line is the addition of a fired on from line modifier for the target unit and the fact that with its longer frontage it has potentially more enemy units to fire at. As you say 2 supported lines cover the same frontage as a single unit in lin...

Re: Bonnie blue flag ACW rules

Hi Steve, In answer to your previous questions Dave has been correct with his explanations, your other queries I will answer in the order you asked them. 1. Falling back is the full distance ignoring all obstacles. The reasoning behind this is that any obstacle becomes much less of an obstruction if...

Adrian,
The Longship looks superb and having a choice of figurehead is a smart idea.

Re: 16th/17th March 2013 Back of Beyond

Never mind all this macho HE DID THIS and I DID THAT rubbish what about my yaks? Peacefully travelling from Moscow to Archangel with their cargo of Puppies and Kittens for the poor unfortunate orphans only to be splattered all over the Steppes by the jittery British garrison. It was enough to make o...

Re: Borodino weekend

Surely the most spectacular Napoleonic game we have done so far, and the 4 table layout as opposed to the usual big table and pop ups made everything much more accessable. After losing 2 Divisions in as many days I can't really think of any highlights but I am consoling myself with the fact that the...

Re: Borodino weekend

Barry,
Incase you did not get my e-mailI have the following Landwehr:
4 Bns of 36
1 Bn of 24

Dave I have about 60 coniferous trees, various sizes but all smaller than the Last Valley type trees we normally use. I think they are designed for model railways.

Re: Bubble gum cards of the 60s - Memory Lane - enjoy

Dave, Only managed to get the cards. I don't suppose many of the notes have survived I know when I was spending my pocket money on them I didn't give the notes or the bubblegum I second thought, it was the cards I wanted.

Re: Bubble gum cards of the 60s - Memory Lane - enjoy

Managed to get the whole set of civil war cards a few years ago and they take pride of place on the bookshelf. I remember a WW2 set from the same time but have never been able to track them down.
