Re: VII. Corps 1812-13

Günter, I have Bowden's book on the Grande Armee of 1813, which has considerable detail on the 32d. 15 August 1813 32d Division 1st Brigade 1,4/35th Legere (formerly 1st Mediterranean Regiment—penal or “refractaire”) 1,3,4/132nd Ligne (formerly Regiment L’Ile-de-Re—penal or “refractaire”) 2nd Brigad...

As I recall, they were battalions 1-4 and 6; #5 was the depot at home.

Re: Morand's Division 30th and 17th Infantry Regiment of lin

As of the 1 August returns, the regiments were 3,594 and 3,808 strong. So that is ~720 and ~760 per battalion. Seems likely they started well over strength.

Re: Morand's Division 30th and 17th Infantry Regiment of lin

According to Nafziger, the 17th had 85 officers and 2,901 men on August 25th. The 30th had 83/3,176.

Both in 5 battalions with four 3pdr guns.

Hope that helps. The return for Borodino only shows units and not strength.

Re: 28mm buildings for a not-Plancenoit town?

Günter,

Thanks for those links. Was there something you had in mind in particular at Navigator/Magister? I saw one "German" house (which, amazingly, I already have a copy).

Did I miss something?

To the rest...nice AB eye candy and interesting history. Hijack all you please! :P

28mm buildings for a not-Plancenoit town?

Can anyone recommend a manufacturer of buildings suitable to make up a small town that could stand in for Plancenoit, La Haye, St. Amand, Ligny, etc.? There was a post a few days ago (not necessarily here) which I thought I bookmarked but can no longer find, that had a brilliant 15mm Belgian village...
