Re: The Coming of the Saxons

The Arthur figure is gorgeous, won't be used though as i am doing saxons :( but i will leave him to be a collectors item and grow in value lol

got one unit of saxon warriors done now might post pics if enough interest, but they aren't LOA or naps so the fanboys might grumble a little

Very good rules by the way, mine arrived today in the mail with the Arthur figure. I am now working on Saxons as time allows and the mood takes me.

Re: who was Patrick Gordon of Ruthven?

Accounts are maybe on a par with Wishart's but from a different perspective as I beleive if i remember correctly, Wishart wrote mostly from the perspective of Montrose, using letters dictated by him. Gordon's writings should balance them out.

Re: Foundry have finally woken up

I personally would not hold my breath waiting for drastic changes as such, all that has happened is a little tweak to try get some customer base back and it will soon be business as usual in the same old style we are accustomed to from Ansell enterprises (now a family business). Damn I'm getting old...

Re: Foundry have finally woken up

Matt the old manager has been asked to leave. The new guy in charge is Mr. Ansell's cousin. They have listened to and noted the unhappiness of many of their ex-customers and watched new 'sculptors' create the type of figures that no one would really buy, whilst the better, older stuff has been retir...

Claymore Castings English

Finally got my first base of these troops for impetus finished. The knight is Sir Robert Umfraville, who led an unsuccessful flank march/attack at Otterburn. Re: Grand Alliance Artillery

It's horrid and the colours are all wrong, i know this cos of a painting i saw once that was done by some artist 300 years later holding the paint roller in his butt cheeks :) Seriously Paul, gorgeous painting and modelling and a pleasure to see these masterpieces in the lead before anyone else does...
