Re: Sad news about Hugh Wilson

Such sad news. Hugh will be sorely missed. I last saw him at Vapnartak where he was once again helping others. I really enjoyed gaming with him late last year at our Gangster weekend in November. He was an enthusiastic and creative gamer and I will always remember him with a smile.

Re: Happy Birthday Mr. DOB's!

I do like my Russians! If I was starting again I might go for fewer larger regiments but after many years of painting and collecting my entire painted and completed Russian Napoleonic strength now stands at 14 guns, 316 cavalry including command and 504 infantry. My cavalry are generally in two squa...

Re: Happy Birthday Mr. DOB's!

Ah the Great Northern War. Alas no, other than a load of Cossacks who seem to cross many periods. I thought you were talking about Russian Napoleonics where my collection now stands at over 300 figures covering 21 regiments plus random Cossacks! Mad, I know but impressive. Kev and I have been playin...

Re: Russian Napoleonic Bandsmen

Sorry but I have never seen any Napoleonic Russian bandsmen in 28mm on sale or anything close. Foundry do have French Napoleonic bandsmen but they would require a lot of conversion. Plenty of Russian drummers available (at least you can buy them singly from Front Rank or Steve Barber).

Re: TARGE 2013

Great to see you again Bob and your lovely daughter. You were looking well. It was a good show with some great games. Regretably the bring and buy stand didn't have much impact on reducing my wargaming excess. Oh well, there is always Ebay!

Re: 15th/16th June 2013 Vietnam

Hi guys, hope everyone enjoyed our NAM weekend. I think it looked spectacular and the Bolt Action rules with Bill's modifications for boats and choppers worked well. Thanks to everyone who contributed and took part in the weekends gaming, particularly Dave and Colin for the Saturday scenarios. I hav...

Re: 15th/16th June 2013 Vietnam

Guys, a few requests for our game this weekend. I appreciate most of you don't have any toys for this period but don't worry we have the figures and vehicle needs covered. What we do need is 1) Jungle and loads of it 2) Bridges - if any of you have bridges suitable for jungle traffic or those Airfix...

Re: 'Adrian's Walls'......coming to surround a town near you

Looking great Ade, what all do you plan on making? Walls and gate sections? Are these one off pieces or are you going to move into mould making? Really impressive

All the best

The way I have been painting faces recently many of my figures look like zombies.

I am also getting my flock of killer penguins ready. Oh , and the Penguin cam.

Now Barry we are getting a wee bit cheeky!

Maybe not a flying saucer but an air balloon might be a good idea!

I still have everything from our last game plus some unpainted stuff which I can get ready. I will look it out and send you a list.

I bought some stuff from Adrian but then on sold it to Colin .
