Steve, I think you are correct , Henry Hyde posted some pictures from Partizan which included the ACW game and they do look like 15mm on closer inspection. The figures and buildings I would imagine are available from the normal 15mm manufacturers but I'm not sure about the Rebel earthworks or the po...

ACW at Partizan

Not sure who put it on, I did mean to go back and find out some info but didn't  If anyone knows what figures were used and if all the equipment / buildings etc are commercially av...

Adrian,
No no that would be totally out of context and I'm not sure how PC a child catcher is these days  I'm going for historical accuracy here and I'm convinced I read somewhere that following Napoleons abdication the new French King was a puppet of the Allies.

Adrian, Sorry if I had known you were that easily confused I wouldn't have bothered with the 3 Napoleon figures  To give you a bit of thinking time between now and Nov's game I'll give you a brief outline of one of your objectives. After you have stormed the defences of Paris you are to scour t...

Barry, As Napoleon commanded the French forces at Montmirail I thought it only proper that he made an appearance on the table. However I did not want his presence to over influence what was essentially a learning the rules game. He started the game off table then after lunch the French diced for his...

Thanks to everyone who helped Adrian and myself pull the games togeather by bringing along everything we asked for. As Adrian has said, between us we had little experience of this version of R2E to draw upon before hand so it was a relief to us both that things worked ok and seeing the rules in acti...

Paul,
If you go to www.calpeminiatures.co.uk and look under the FULL catalogue you will find lots of usefull uniform info in amongst the figure listings, this was pretty much my main source of reference when I painted my stuff.

Thanks Colin and Dave for organizing another great off the wall game which I thoroughly enjoyed. The GPO rifles did sterling work against the unholy grand alliance of the 2 Bishops ( an alliance that was bound to fall apart eventually whether they took the bait of my bogus messages or not ) and the ...
