Re: The Army of James II (Helion)

Hi, Author here... Couple of things. Yes, this is a very much expanded and extended version of the booklet that I did thirty years ago (THIRTY YEARS AGO ??? Grief !!!). To give you an idea - that work had about 6000 words - this has a little short of 70,000. I have also expanded it to include (as f...

French infantry at fuentes de onoro

Sorry for being a pain i just bought a range of 15mm flags for the french army at fuentes de onoro from fighting 15,s. Each battalion seems to have a flag for an eagle rather than a fannon for the second ,third battalions . Should all battalions carry an eagle or should only the first battalion carr...

Re: Opinions and info on Prussian uniforms invited.

Non-specific infantry in tricorns are definitely on the list, but I'd like the Prussians to look Prussian if they are distinct. I've been considering the Kuhn/Hall CD, but I am worried its just going to contain info useful for painting, and not go into aspects useful for sculpting like coat styles/...

Re: Opinions and info on Prussian uniforms invited.

I know of at least one person (besides myself) wanting warfare infantry in tricornes. It's clearly one of the main missing things from the range given the amount of tricorned cavalry. I would agree i would love to see a range of warfare figures in tricornes.as i said in another post as much as i li...

Re: Opinions and info on Prussian uniforms invited.

Just a suggestion but would we be better doing a generic range of figures in tricornes rather than for specific countries. Then they could be used for most nations.the main difference would be grenadier caps.to be honest ebor have the right idea they have a range of generic infantry in tricornes and...

Re: Great Northern War literature, Lesnaya 1708

I'm a year late on this, but try "Vägen till Poltava - Slaget vid Lesnaja" by Pavel Knovaltjuk and Einar Lyth. This is the best modern book on the subject. They show 5149 infantry (excluding officers) and 7801 dragoons in the Corps Volante and 4976 dragoons with Bauer, again excluding officers. The...
