It looks like we've got another batch of spammers. I've emailed Barry. Should anyone else spot some, you can email him from the Membership list. I don't know if he'll have Net access while on his trip; but it's what we can do at present. If you do email him, post a message to that effect here (in Sp...

An interesting option . . . or series of options depending upon the number of pages and how many color photos (and I think that Barry and Clarence are planning a lot). I would want to see one of their books before I chose them to publish . . . but if the quality is good, it provides a wonderful "low...

I suspect that these are probably all the same idiot. If Barry kept track of what their IP or ISPs have been perhaps he can block it.

Also, sending complaints to ABUSE@(theirISP) sometimes gets results.

This is getting very tiresome.

I just checked the "Memberlist" and sorted by "Location" . . . . and I'm impressed. Currently 155 members have listed a location; and 100 have not. That's better than 60%, which is really high for a forum of this nature. Also, of our 255 members, 147 have posted at least one comment; while 108 are j...

Please List Location in Profile

Gentlemen, Please list your location as part of your profile. First of all, this helps us all find opponents. (You don't have to be super specific -- if it is a large city, name it -- otherwise, just country and province or state). I suspect that it would also help Barry weed out some of these spamm...

Ack! No sooner is one gone than we have another. Fugly needs to go (and a couple of the other "just joined" members have suspicious nicks as well.

It looks like another email to Barry.

Clibanarum,

I concur . . . I just checked Oraneab6's profile and he's got 66 posts, tying him for 10th most in the history of the list . . . and from the titles, they sure don't seem to be about tabletop gaming.

I agree with Gazza in that it would be a shame to close the forum to new members. I object to the concept of limiting the "free exchange" of information. After all, we are hardly discussing anything that threatens any 21st century country's "national security". !7th century national security perhaps...

Hi, I'm not going to recommend any particular set of rules, but I'll give you my "thumbnail views" of the ones I've played to any great extent. WRG 7th (reworked as Warrior) -- Very much a "mental" game in that it often becomes more like a chess match as you figure out different matchups and try to ...

Clarence,

Where and when will the article you promised going to appear? I want to read it and see some more pretty pictures of well-painted minis.

Someone flooded "Fighting Talk" with inappropriate posts. I email Barry and soon after that member and his posts were gone. Others may have also alerted Barry or he may have seen it and acted prior to receiving my email . . . but anyway if you see something like what I did in the future, let Barry k...

In terms of how the British think of their army, I will refer you to Rudyard Kipling's poem "Tommy" . . . it pretty much backs up Barry's comments. -- Jeff _______________________ Tommy by Rudyard Kipling I went into a public-'ouse to get a pint o'beer, The publican 'e up an' sez, "We serve no red-c...

Clarence,

Your units look great (as always). You might want to do an "army building" series (like you did with the ECW). I enjoyed reading the reasons why you built it as you did. I'd like to know why you select the units you do pick.
