Haven't seen the article, but would agree that Dragoons should have a bit more of a 'niche', rather than being poor infantry or poor cavalry...

Has anyone adapted Barry's Donnybrook rules for the ACW period?

Although not ready to collect the numbers required for full-blown battles of this era, I've always had a hankering for modelling some Confederate States skirmishers...

Turrabear, horse holders are included in the dragoon command packs already...

And yes, we will need mounted Dragoons in fur caps and French stocking caps as well as floppy hats.
