Re: New player and fairly new to Napoleonics

penny pinching I know about :) I know some guys up north have based 4 figures on 50mm x 50mm bases for LaSalle and they don't look too bad en mass. I Prefer the looks of 6 figures per base but its personal preference. As long as the base sizes are the same, the number of figs dont matter so much che...

Re: New Grenadier Storming Party

I must say the range is looking really nice :)

But, looking at the staff set pic in the above link, does anyone else think that horse is huge compared to the guy handing up the message?

Re: Thread Hijacking - is it a crime?

Well we will be doing our best to look after the Scottish Rugby team when they come stay in our town for the world Cup, still, a shame for them that the All Blacks will win :)

Re: WARFARE MINIATURES 28mm LoA RANGE

Hell no, let it fall over ;) The way the US dollar is going, things are getting soooo cheap to buy from overseas now. All those expensive metals are so much more affordable now. Heres my best current example, not inc postage, My first Front Rank (yes its Pounds but its all realative so to speak) Fre...

Re: Cavalry vs. Infantry

Barry, I think in the context hes using, a BG is a battlegroup, aka battalion/regiment.

But your answer, answers that under reinforcing a melee.

Re: Calpe French - the first 3 packs

Hmmm I was hoping that the next pack ready would be a command pack with standard bearers, drummers and officers, with 4 sculpts in it.

That would make a nice number for 24 man battalions.

Re: WIP British and Finished French

I too was a bit iffy about the dip as well, but glad i took the plunge. I now dip everything and then follow up with a dry brush over top which really brings a nice highlight to the units.

Where the dip is on your trousers, a light white dry brush will really "light" them up a treat.

Re: Major overhaul to LoA website

Heya Guys, Well done. I like the new look :) Having a gander around, a suggestion for the shop part. Move the rule books to the top. The RtE rule book is buried 1/2 way down page 3 and that to me is the first thing you want people to see and buy as opposed to scrolling through a couple pages of plas...

Buildings and towns in 28mm

Looking at making a start on some buildings to go with my armies and dress up the board a bit. Ive seen some nice stuff available and this is more about what is some of the ways you guys organise buildings to represent towns and farms. I am quite taken with the buildings/town that Kiwipeter shows us...
