Re: Grand Prior Grenadier Caps

Thanks again, Ray.
Found the Partizan Press booklet of James II's Army, that has helped too.

Re: Grand Prior Grenadier Caps

Thanks Ray, Both yours and Clarence's unit pictures are what I'm using generally as well as the BLB Rulebook pictures, so the cuffs are white. I wasn't sure whether to do a more or less white body to the grenadier cap and have a red "bag" to it with a white pom-pom (please excuse the lack of precise...

Grand Prior Grenadier Caps

Hi all,

I wonder if anyone here can point me at information about the colours for grenadier caps for the Lord Grand Prior's Regiment or give me a best guess at it.
Suggestions for sash colours would also be appreciated.
Thanks.

Rapparees

I'd like to have some stands of rapparees for smaller actions or to augment Jacobite forces.
Does anyone have advice as to how well Dixon's levy/rebels sit alongside Warfare? Or would I be better off just using the Warfare militia unit with a few matchlocks added in?

Cheers,

Re: Nassau Ottweilar Uniform

They do look very nice, Ray.
I think I'll be going with the red though, on the basis that my Dutch Brigade will have the Brandenburg Regt in it and I'd like a contrast.

Re: Nassau Ottweilar Uniform

Hi Mark,

There was a thread a while back:
http://leagueofaugsburg.com/fightingtal ... f=6&t=3254

I think the consensus is off-white/pale grey coats with red lining.

Re: 1690-91 Irish Lists

Thanks Clarence, that's actually what I've largely been using!
I was thinking more specifically of things such as troop grades, numbers per regiment and brigade, which units to make more "militia-y" and so on.

Cheers,

Re: Field Forge

I'd ordered the forge and wagon from Germany and they arrived very quickly. Lovely models and lots of fantastic detail.
Thanks for the link to Crann Tara Miniatures, I'd been looking for a blacksmith to go with the forge and, hey presto!
