Re: EVENT CARDS

Getting back to the main event, the battle, the strategies and the mechanics.... I was very pleased that with the exception of Commanded Shot and Highlanders , everything else produced little or no rule query/anomaly/disputes. Barry, one other thing , maybe,to look at is the minimum seperation dist...

Hi Gents, Even though I never took part in the game at Derby, reading some of the comments by those who did take part, especially Jim, it sounds as though the game was run by the event cards and not the players themselves. I have to agree with Jim, how can a regiment run out of ammo when it hasn't ...

Re: Derby October Grand Alliance/WSS

Just wanted to add that I had a thoroughly enjoyable weekend again. Figures were excellent, gaming was superb, and the company was just spot on. First game on Saturday morning was a laugh, cards were a bit over the top in the first game but it had the desired effect of breaking us all in I think.......

Re: PARTIZAN PIX League of Augsburg

As an aside.....heard a couple of chaps referring to O'Briens regiment as "The Yorkies" but never got a chance to ask them where they got that particular nickname. Tried looking through my sources and googling online but no luck. Anybody got any ideas??? Cheers Gerry They're not for girls? Ni...

Re: The Battle of Catraeth at Partizan today

This was a great looking game. Andy Milligan and I were well impressed with it.

Re: PARTIZAN PIX League of Augsburg

Err...chaps.... What the irrepressible Mr O'Brien has omitted to add is that when I formed up in front of the infantry regiment, we....sorry....I had rolled a 1 for the number of units that could move that turn....therefore we could move zero units that turn and only a downpour special event prevent...

Re: Blenheim OOB

Many Thanks for that. :)

That somewhat unmuddies the waters a bit more for me.

Was curious as to why they were being referred to as the Scots Greys back in that period when, officially, that title didnt appear until much, much later, but found something else about it online.

Re: Blenheim OOB

Hi Ray,

Couple of questions regarding Hays Dragoons. Firstly, why are they referred to as Hays Dragoons? And secondly were they not the 4th Dragoons at the time of Blenheim??

Would be interested to know the sources that you're using

Cheers
