Re: Sri Lanka Painters

We used Fernandos painting service to get lots of 28mm ECW figures painted. They are done to a decent wargames standard and ECW are a mixed lot so tiny details were not done nor asked for. They ask you upfront everything you require, the colors etc. this is where you have to be detailed. They sent p...

Re: Source for WSS French Uniforms

There are plenty of free sites for French uniform/flag details if you don't want to buy books or CDs. Re: Charge of the French Republican Guard

very cool, should bring some perspective to those who feel cavalry can run around all day..those horses were most likely blown after filming that and decidedly so had they met an actual enemy.

Re: Questions re BTLB rules

Hi and welcome to the boards. The first question I think you are asking if you square up after contact in a charge, the answer is no. You are not precluded from doing so if you feel it looks neater and decide to add it as a house rule. Is second question is about multiple charges on the same target?...

Re: Help with Danish Flag I.D.

Well according to Wiki, erhrm, that is the coat of arms for Frederick IV 1671-1730 and his cipher. Could be his personal standard as he commanded troops at the battle of Gadebusch in 1712.
Dan et.al. may know more.

Re: charging

Well all that Barry said and then there's the flow of the turn, the charge move is over and done with before the shooting phase. Once contact is made there is no shooting into melee. Now if that horse unit fails to charge and are just left sitting there, then fire away. :)

Re: Commander Ability

There were many playability vs realism discussions when we were play testing the rules. Some survivors are in the optional rule section. Not knowing how many games you have under your belt or if you play with like minded opponents. I would give a few games a try as written then modify with house rul...

Re: Commander Ability

Hi Brian, The rules are taking everything you just said into consideration but consolidating it into one roll. The command phase of the turn could get bogged with rolling for every commander. You are free to play how you would like by adding your house rules here and there, we have ours as well. I d...
