Starting a new project--Waterloo Prussians

I blame Von Peter Himself, Martin Kelly, all of you with lovely painted miniatures, and of course all the rest of you for being guilty by association. I have decided to paint up the Prussians for Waterloo, starting with the Perry plastics. Yes, I know about Calpe...they will enter the picture eventu...

Interested? You bet, but timing is everything. In particular, I have several trips in the spring to the Five-Sided-Puzzle-Palace and would love to end one of those trips by pushing lead. My own collection is 25mm at 30:1, corps-sized, so o could possibly help there.

John,

I have been following your blog for some time but had missed the posts about Army Painter. Those and your other information about washes, for example, are very useful.

Thanks!

Thanks for that, Clarence. In case it wasn't clear, I had no problem with the result. Oh, wait...it was my attack column. :D For those who may be interested (like me!), I've extracted a couple questions from my essay above: 1. When you start a project like this, how do you organize your units? Do yo...

Another person motivated for a new project

Hi everyone, OK, the game at the FLGS didn't work out for various reasons. In particular, there was an episode where a British Light Dragoon regiment of 12 figures frontally charged a French attack column of 27. The French got off a shot, causing one or two casualties, but then the British rolled ze...

According to Bowden's Armies at Waterloo : "On 10 June, the 3rd Regiment of the Line was transferred from the 1st Brigade/6th Infantry Division to the 1st Brigade/5th Infantry Division where it served during the Waterloo campaign. The 3rd Regiment of the Line replaced the 2nd Light Infantry Regiment...

LOS question

Barry, First let me say "thank you" for an interesting article in Wargames Illustrated. I absolutely love this kind of article. Second, a question on LOS, especially in relation to routing units. My opponent seemed to think that units' LOS was restricted to their firing arc, and therefore could not ...

:D Again, thank you. Did you use the "no MPs to maintain an order" variant mentioned in the latest WI? Right now I can easily put enough units on the table, although the Spanish will be Portuguese! I think I will keep it small, though, both from your experience and to prevent my megalomania from kic...
