Re: ACW 15mm large battle

That must of been a big table...alot of figs in that game Table size have been 15ft x 6ft :!: and yes, that was a lot of figures :D Even as we tried to play with reserves and Troops "marching to the sound of the guns" we often stretched over the length of the complete table. Only when we used caval...

Re: The raising of the Saxon Army 1810-1813

That's a splendid looking collection Günter. John, It is steadily growing, the next Regiment, a blue one, is ready to be based. A fast update on what's going on with the Saxons: Currently the greens of the Chevaux Legers are ready to get molded. All figures come with seperate arms as one of these R...

Re: ACW 15mm large battle

Looks like a nice "little" fight

I have to scan in some of my old 15mm ACW-Battle pics when we played after Johnny Reb-Rules with 3-4000 figures and more than 200 guns :D I had the 1st Corps Army of Northern Virginia against some friends with the 1st, 3rd and 6th Corps, Army of the Potomac.

Re: The Jocks are back in DERBY!

One day I'll end up in jail
Today I was close to slay my boss as he called to tell me that the weekend in DERBY has to be canceled
I argued at least 20 minutes until he gave in and confirmed the short holiday trip. :D

So I will be at DERBY in March :!: 8)

Re: NEW IN THE SHOP - ARTILLERY OFFER!

I think I can live with it if it takes a bit longer.
On the other hand I am familiar with waiting for minis several months after I paid for them

Re: GNW Russian Guard Grenadiers

I think I saw illustrations of early Russian Grenadiers in Christopher Duffy's: "Russia's Military way to the West". For me one of the best sources in english language.

Re: Girandoni air rifles

Thank you Gunter, i was aware of that website, but conversely there are many reports on the web of Napoleon issuing orders that anyone found with one of these weapons was to be executed on the spot. Probably another urban myth that has emerged to embelish this weapons reputation. Thank you for the ...

Re: Girandoni air rifles

Does anyone more knowledgeable than me (in this period that is everyone), have any information on the Austrian use of this weapon in action? Also I was informed that the Austrians may have been supplied with the baker rifle, but not sure if that was my friend winding me up or not. Yes Austrians are...

Re: The raising of the Saxon Army 1810-1813

...These seem to be quite large battalions; how many 'men' is each figure representing in these units? :?: Hi Bryce, The Battalions are 36 Figures, each figure stays for 20 men after RtE. On Paper the units would have 832 men each but I made 720 men to show some kind of consumption. 4 companies of ...

Re: The raising of the Saxon Army 1810-1813

Dear Friends, Some of you have asked months ago for my Saxon Range and how the Minis are look like. After a long time I now present you most of the current existing Figures. A word to the mounted Officiers. They are sold with loose heads so anyone can decide in which direction he may look. Officers ...
