Re: R2E UPDATING & AMENDMENTS YOU HELP NEEDED

Bloody typical Hilton attitude, sits on the fence and lets me make up his mind for him  Cheers Dave Dave, I once titled you as Old Warhorse , now you know why  Now back to the Regimental Guns . The use of Regimental guns are not explicit described within the books I know, but Scharnho...

Re: NEW IN THE SHOP - ARTILLERY OFFER!

Hi Barry, I have ordered 4 "Monsters" but there is no need for Limbers :D . I intend to build a diorama of the "Georgs-Battery" aka Bumblebee artillery on Fortress Königsstein. http://www.festung-koenigstein.de/tl_files/festung-koenigstein/bilder/zufallsbilder_header_startseite/de/fk-Georgenbatterie...

Re: R2E UPDATING & AMENDMENTS YOU HELP NEEDED

Hi David, A interesting point of view which I fully agree with!!! Battalion guns should be used in support of the battalion it is attached to, so my views are no movement and fire in the same turn. This would mean can't fire if on attack or advance orders and must move with the battalion. They can ...

Re: Basing Prussians

Mike, I hate to disappoint you  but I am not a veteran Prussian Player but Your Enemie :D . I faced the same thoughts as you, but most of it went into thin air as soon as you know which time frame you like to do. I take it you have the Befreiungskriege 1813-1815 in mind. The normal unit streng...

Mike, what do you have in mind? Westphalians are very well researched and, if you like a more static look, well sculpted. Take a look at Steve Barbers range for Westphaliens: http://www.sbarber-models.clara.net/main.html I did with his figures my Westphalien Guard Grenadier. http://www.leagueofaugsb...

Re: The raising of the Saxon Army 1810-1813

Redburg,

No, because of their french styled uniform
If You look for Saxons 1809 you have to use minis with double pointed hat.
As far as I know their are a few of manufacturers who makes such figures, i.e., Elite, Wargames Foundry.

Hope that helps

Re: The raising of the Saxon Army 1810-1813

Breaking News!

My sculptor has decided that now would be a good time to go official with
the Saxon 1810-1812 Range. Therefore, for all who are interested, here is the website:

http://www.sbarber-models.clara.net/main.html

And yes, Steve Barber is my sculptor.

Cheers

Re: The raising of the Saxon Army 1810-1813

Günter – I really like your idea of the skirmishing Saxon Chevaux Leger wearing his mantle. Model soldier makers should make more skirmishing cavalry figures... At Eureka we would call him a “character figure”. I am afraid you won’t sell a huge number of him, but having said that, little bits of ex...

Re: The raising of the Saxon Army 1810-1813

Dear Friends, As the DERBY-Thing has passed by  I now focus again on my project. My sculptor made the Saxon top priority and now have started with the Chevaux Legers or Light Cavalry. As predicted he sculpt them besides the Horse Artillery because the very similiar looking. They have a almost ...

Hi John, sorry for the late reply but I caught a onesided pneumonia and was kept in bed for 2 weeks. The last week I was on Holidays in Dresden. The greens with all the details added are looking great. Dave, The multi-cultural attitude of the Saxon Infantry let them be used as Cleve-Berg, the Rhein...
