Re: Norwegian Coat Colours

Any suggestions of an army (prefer Catholics) that would utilise the Ebor range?

Austria. Ebor has grendiers for them and you can use the generic infantry.

Piedmont.

Bavaria

Archbishopric of Cologne

And, of course, France.

Re: How many flags does Infantry in the 17th C. have?

Many armies had one flag per company well into the 18th century. This was the case with the Prussian army in Frederick the Great's time. Cavalry in the Civil War had a standard per standard. Each infantry company had a color. According to Summerfield the Saxon cavalry had one standard per company in...

Warfare Artillery Crews

Barry,

Can the artillery crews be purchased separately from the guns? I want to have my crews on a single base for the field, but would like to have them based individually for siege works and would like to use the same guns for both.

Re: GNW 28mm figures

The current Ebor musketeers would work fine for Russian musketeers. No pikemen though. Ebor says they intend to do figures specifically for the GNW. Let's hope that happens.

These look great. My Danish Livgarde are anxiously awaiting their colours. Any news on the due date of these?

Re: Huguenots in Ireland 1690/91

I am not so sure the Huguenots would not utilize the fleur de lis. The so-called " Huguenot Cross" which was, at least least according to the attached source, created in 1688, contains four of them. That doesn't necessarily mean that the symbols on the flags are fleurs de lis, just that if visual in...

Re: yellow coats

Warfare will produce Danish flags soon, so they promise. If your figures are in tricornes, the the two French regiments may be your best bet, since the Danish wore closed coats with two rows of buttons down the front in the WSS. Presumably, your Russian figures coats are like most other WSS figures,...

Re: Warfare Miniatures Wish List for 2012

Barry,

For cassocks, look at the article "Danish Grenadier Cap and Cassock" near the bottom of this link:

Also, see the illustration of the Livgarde on page 51 of the Osprey Boyne book.
