Have dug out my own working papers as well as my copy of Harman's 'guide to the battlefield' which, it should be mentioned, was not produced for or by the OPW which runs the Oldbridge Site but rather by the Boyne Valley Honey Company. Having looked at Harman's army lists I can only assume that he ha...

Hi Ray,

will try to have a look through what I have tonight - I do have a load of regimental histories on a CD somewhere, also the latter part of Walton may throw some light on the matter.

As soon as I have anything I'll post a reply.

All the best,

Mike.

Ray, according to Farmer's Regimental Records of the British Army 1660-1901, the 24th Regiment of Foot are (not surprisingly) in red coats with grass green facings, cuffs etc. The badges given i.e. sphinx and welsh dragon are obviously 19th century but if I can find any more will let you know. The 3...

Andy,

is there anything specific or a general overview - Most are covered in my books on the Boyne (Osprey) and Aughrim (History Press), but research goes ever, ever on.

The Williamite War in Ireland

This may be sticking my head above the parapet as it were, but here goes. As a new member to the forum, and one with a deep interest in the above mentioned period, amd more than willing to help with members' queries etc where time and circumstance permit. Obviously there are two ways to do this eith...

Osprey Battle of the Boyne

Apologies of this would seem to most members about dragging up the past, but I hope you will bear with me. Having had the Rules and Forum recommended to me by a friend in the UK, I've just joined the Forum and, as is understandable, I've been flitting through the posts relevant to my main area of in...

Mark,

thanks for the positive initial thoughts.

Circumstances meant that it took longer than anticipated, but I hope that it was worth the wait - Hope you enjoy !
