Re: Yebel yell !

I like the way that firing is handled in fire and fury and also in Longstreet. There is to be a civil war variant on Black powder later this year. In my experience you only need light and heavy rifles. Smooth bores and howitzers although the latter were only used on specific occasions. For example a...

Re: Help on paints

hi Lee. What colour for many do you undercoat ? Are you giving the paints a good mix. I've used Vallejo and army painter for many years over a black undercoat usually and have never had any problems. I often add a small ball bearing to act as an agitator with Vallejo. I'd second the foundry paints ....

Re: Swedes for BLB

Frontage is the most important thing. Each BLB cavalry unit of 6 figures represents 2 squadrons usually so to get a 50/50 split as a representation have 1 cavalry squadron per infantry battalion.

Re: War & Peace

Re: The Stuart's in Exile

Don't let the comments put you off . The programme is a broad brush approach, not made for us geeks. I thought that it was pretty good, a fairly easy watch and quite informative. A producer can never cover everything given that its just two parts spanning 75 plus years.

Re: The Stuart's in Exile

Thought that this was well made. I do believe that the lady presenter was in the same camp as Barry , the not a supporter of Marlborough camp.
Quite the fence sitter was old Johnny ! .
