42nd and 79th

Just finished building this lot. Thanks to Toggy and Andy. I'd like to say I'll be painting it, but my attempts at tartan look like a blue and green gingham  So they will be getting sent off to be painted. Pictures arent the best, but yes, that is a unit of highlanders 54 strong. Black Watch ...

Makes a pleasant change for a website overhaul to be an improvement, congrats to all involved.

Nominate yourself for cinc then Jim.

And exploit with your stuff every phase :)

I too would be interested in another 1 day, but all very much date dependent though.

And again. just like to echo what everyone else has said. Great day, thanks to Barry and Dave for organising it and everyone for making it enjoyable. It looked spectacular as ever. And I'd like to think it was my inspiring leadership that gave the Russians their crushing victory over the lick spittl...

I've been thinking some more about the Portuguese rating and I'm sure that 'Guard' would suffice now I've more time to think about it

Those 5/60th rifles are being rebased as I type, and for £45 for 12, I was most happy.

I too was most surprised to see that the Perrys were bringing out plastic Austrians and Russians, although the greens they were showing did have a caveat of "No release date available". They also had a green of a riflemen in a different pose to those they currently do, so they may well do a box of j...

Thanks guys, wasnt sure how people would see it. On a side note, how would the Portuguese units be rated in R2E? I'm guessing drilled for the majority, possibly veteran for some as they did see a lot of action. Have the 1/32nd, 1/8th and 2/8th Portuguese line to go and that should be the 6th Divisio...

Units armed with Rifles and Muskets

Was wondering if anyone else had come across this while playing. My Cacadore units have 1 company of rifle armed troops, the Tiradores, and the rest just regular smoothbore muskets. For the most part I was going to ignore the rifle company when the unit fired, treating the whole unit as musket armed...

The Flagdudes flags all come with finials attached. At least for my Napoleonic British and Portuguese infantry. I'll be picking some more up from him at Salute next week, 1st and 11th Portuguese Cavalry, who had 1 standard per squadron! At least I only need 2 squadrons for each regiment.
