Good point Peter made. Gazza was good enough to lend them to us and although we are (usually) so carefull with clearing away etc, I agree with Peter. I for one are quite happy to 'chip in' for replacements. Now that i'm all 'ebayed out' with armour and 'quite a player' with regards to 'auctions', i ...

Barry. Great report on the performance of 'Meine Kinder'! No real surprise to me as their 'Father'. It will make the Prussian Victory at Ligny a 'given', especially as ALL the Prussian troops will be classed as 'Veteran' (or above). We'll not be having any of that 'Raw' grading nonsence that Dale ha...

Thanks for the comments guys, much appreciated. I believe that the figures are done by a young guy up your neck of the woods- I'm told he's an up and coming talent! Look out for him..... I would also like to wish all my fellow LoGW members a very merry Xmas and happy New Year/Hogmanay. Looking forwa...

EBAY and 'US GENTS'

Gents Don't know if this is 'pratical or even of interest/use' but i was wondering about when 'we' occasionally venture onto 'ebay' to buy stuff (wargaming gear mainly) and a 'potential problem'? After the recent WW2 game i've ventered onto 'the WEB' to purchase some 'corgi hardwear'. I came across ...

Not much more to add to the previous comments made by the 'Gents'.

However, must give a large 'thanks' to Barry for organising an amazing weekend and to Kev for his help with the umpiring.

Can't wait until next years 'fixtures'!

Barry (& The Gents) Looking forward to meeting up with all of you next weekend on our 'ad-hoc' game that has been organised by you all 'up there'. Special thanks should go to Barry who has had to pick up the brunt of the organising on this game. On a 'non gaming' topic I would like to say how 'gutte...

I'm OK for either date. I've spoken with Dale over the last couple of days about next years calender. Initially we were to have the March 2008 game up in Stonehaven due to the June and November game being 'booked' at the Airlie. With us now having to 'reschedule' the Ligny game to March 2008 and Cha...

Gents. Firstly, sorry for initially stating that i was OK for the following weekend for 'Ligny'. Technically, i am ok and will be in attendance for the WW2 weekend. I would like to also 'apologise and thank' you guys 'up there' for sorting out a replacement game at such short notice! As most of you ...

AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE ....... LIGNY GAME 'SCUPPERED'

Just a quick note for all 'Gentlemen' that the game is OFF for the planned dates of 17/18 November. Good chance it may happen the following weekend, 24/25. Please try to speak to other members at Targe or via site for further updates.

Kevin and I have decided that by Ligny, ALL Prussian infantry is to be classed as Veteran/Veteran Elite as they had been in 'the field' since 1813. We decided that any Prussian Troops still alive after 2 years of 'whooping the French scum' would have all the attributes of this classification!! ........

Firstly, thanks for the comments about the terrain, they are really appreciated. It was my first attempt in this area and I can now feel that it was certainly worth the effort. Both Barry and I were kept quite busy throughout the day, Barry answering questions about his superb figures and myself on ...

Dave. Great to see you and Colin at Partizan at the weekend. Must admit, i've been 'smitten' by this Period after Sunday! I would love to have a LoGW game of this Era. I would gladly volunteer to 'bring up the Low Countries' as i've proved i can transport it with any damage!!! Adrian 'Louis of Baden...

Didn't realise you chaps were coming down. Are you putting on a game or just 'mixing with Joe Public'?
We will see you Sunday, have a safe trip down.
