Controversial Grenadier Royaux?

Almost finished a battalion of Grenadiers Royaux for my SYW French army. As one of our small group already has a couple of battalions of the Grenadiers de France I decided to do mine as the Grenadiers Royaux. http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll48/AdamPaulHayes/DSC_6014.jpg I have precisely zero ev...

Ah, the old shelf full of never used rules... at least yours have been read! Personally I mix Foundry, Dixon, Essex and Parkfield figures quite happily in the same units. I have some Reiver ones in seperate units but decided the difference in horse sizes was too much to have any of the cavalry. The ...

Nice figures! I shall have to get some of those to lead "the lads". White is probably not the best backgropund colour for Austrians to show up on... Unless you were going for the snowy Alpine look! :)

I can see your logic Ray but that's not how I read (and play) the rules. On page 10/11 it specifies which of the orders are limited by commander ability percentages: Move, Form & Charge. The other orders can be issued to any unit (including Bluff presumably.)

Newer versions of Piquet have removed some of the nastier impetus swings from what I understand. The main thing I remember from playing that particular set of rules was that in every game someone was going to get screwed, and you just hoped it wasn't your turn. :) Piquet is definitely not for the u...

That looks excellent!. Having sized up a Copplestone and a Perry plastic figure together (different ranges but a reasonable QandD approximation) I would estimate that your boys will be almost spot on for size with Copplestones figures.

Copplestone = exciting. Wargames Factory are all too likely to disappoint with their eventual offerings... :( The most I am expecting at the moment is something that will have some use for conversions.

Hi Adam, Just have a wee click on the link my friend. It's about Wargames Illustrated. Wasn't when I clicked it first, it was an article about GF9 being bought up :? :? :? Saw the full info on TMP though. Is this going to be good news for magazine readers or will the content now favour WW2 do we th...
