More Melee & Morale Questions

All, Last night we had a small BLB game using the Play Test rules and charts. Each side had a brigade of foot and one of horse. Agreed, place in the Optional Rules section. Keep basic movement in the core rules, anything else that's fancy - Optional Rules.

Just out of curiosity, as I'm not fully verse in all the infantry's historical movements - was an about face used in battle?

Barry,

Melee & Morale

Barry, A few of us did a walk through of melee & morale action w/foot vs. foot and cavalry vs. cavalry. I must say, this is definitely a bloody affair! MELEE: - Close Combat process; #4, does the score to hit, "4,5, & 6" apply to both foot and cavalry? It refers to foot. - Joining an existing close ...

Barry, Will do. Our projected date is around Columbus Day here in October. I plan on taking quite a bit of photos. I already made a Colonial Americal Mod Game chart based on your guidance from the magazine article. Can't wait. Been wanting to do something with Indians. I haven't played any F&IW stuf...

Both sides were pretty beaten up; both sides started to take the defensive posture and the game was called a draw. Everyone had a great...

Out unit basing is smaller; 4 infantry figures and 2 cavalry figures per base. I created a ORBAT that we used to mark casualties.

Enjoy.

WI #260 - Quebec 1690

Barry,
Just picked-up WI#260, and look forward to recreating those New Englander scenarios. In your article, you mention "open order" How is a unit placed on the game table - a stand space apart?

Thanks.
