Re: Late French Rev War - R2E factors

Barry, That is very interesting, I keep that all in mind :D As long as I can field oneday my Saxon 8 "bumblebees" 4-pdr Regimental Batteries. Napoleon said: " We should supply our infantry with Regimental guns because of their lesser moralgrades compared to Soldiers in the Years before! " Almost all...

Re: Help with GMB Flags

That would be greatly appreciated. Are they for 15mm or 25mm? As a favor, could you give me some quick dimensions on how big the flags are? I'm afraid they may be too big for my figures! Rob, Sorry that I didnt ask what size you are after  The Flags are for 25/28 mm Dimension: backside/staff/...

Re: French drummer uniform help!

Rob, I faced the same troubles a while ago and currently the project has gone into a dormant state. But I will look into my old french books, most of them thirty years old, and the other stuff to see if I find something usefull for you. Maybe Clarence can add somthing to it because we both are fond ...

Re: FOW How to Start?

Jim W., Thanks for this. It helps a lot as I allready noticed the price for the minis  I will take a look at the companies you mentioned. The timeline I prefer is Kursk to Berlin (1943 to 1945) not because of the available tanks but the possibility to fight against allmost all Nations who we...

Re: Austrian Tactics

I've been thinking about Austrain tactics, more to find a starting point for collecting and painting, I know enough about organisation and uniform, but tactics :?: I know that sounds very general,as each commander would have a battle plan. I mean more basic planning.eg. sending light troops out to me...

Re: FOW How to Start?

Barry,

I wanted to look at the Warchest for WWII scenarios but when I trie to open the Stolchnyek June 28 1944-Scenario I get an error message telling me the file could not be found on the server. Has it been removed?

Any chance to get a look at it?

Thanks

Re: FOW How to Start?

Jim and Bill , Thank You both for your input. I will take the advice of the MW's=Motherwell Warriors :D 15mm seems large enough. I take it that FOW is played by Armies based on pointsystem  Not quite the way I like it but who knows  eventually I can live with that. Thanks again. Cheers...

FOW How to Start?

Gentlemen, many Years ago I planed to raise German Armed Forces for WWII. I started with 1/300th HR and buyed plenty of it :) All together about 400 tanks and lots of support vehicles. As my eyesight lost somewhat on sharpness I would like to revive the troops now but in a larger scale. My question ...

Re: Blueprint for my Russian division

Gunfreak,

The most usual Cavalry was the Hussars, who were attached as some kind of brigade mostly because of the huge size of them. Most of those hussar regiments had 6 to 8 squadrons each. Dragons and the others were grouped in Cavalry Divisions.

Hope that helps
