So if you do Crimean War how much of a leap would it be to do the Franco-Prussian War with the rules you have? Who makes good figures in 25/28mm? I know about the Foundry ones but does anyone else?

Ok, as promised. Here are some pictures, 4 to be exact, of how we mount our 'Volley' fire system units versus 'Platoon' fire system units. All units are mounted on a single base and the base is the same size regardless. So if it's an 18 figure units then we will plan on a 9 figure frontage which wou...

One other thing Bill forgot to mention is that we not only mount some of our units 3 rows (ranks) deep but we also mount them all on a single base. It's easier to game with, transport, etc. If you'd like to see what they look like then go to following link. http://home.bellsouth.net/personalpages/sc...

Well, if we know what time then we can plan to meet at some appointed place. I'm leaving sometime Saturday but I can hang around for most of the day. Lindsay when do we want to meet for our Americas version of the "League of Gentleman Wargamers"??

On a more realistic note, your idea of forming a League here in the States is a good idea. The SYW Association really doesn't like gaming at the beginning of the 18th century and the Pike & Shot prefers the periods prior to the WSS & League of Augsburg periods although I'm sure Iain can pull a few f...

I figured it out. When I click on the line within the email I get a 404 error message. In looking at the url on my address like I see a right paren & a quote or tick mark. Just put your cursor at the end of the url and backspace to remove them. The link worked for me after I did that. 18th Century Guy

If you join the Lace Wars Yahoo e-group there is a photo area where pictures of Imperialist Enterprises figures are shown. Now it's his Marlburian line and not GNW but it will give you an idea of his figures.

GNW

Marco, I'm not sure where you'd order them from given you are in Italy but Imperialist Enterprises has an nice GNW range. Robert Hagerty is the owner of Imperialist Enterprises but I don't think he has an email address yet and I know he doesn't have a website. I do not know if he has a distributor i...

Painting tips and guides

Barry, Thanks for the very informative articles on your painting & flag creation tips. Although I know it's a lot of work I really do appreciate you taking the time to pass on this knowledge. Even though some may say you don't have to answer all our questions I'm glad you took the time to answer the...

Painting

And let me add to that a question on the flags. What type of linen do you use and what type of paints do you use on the linens? How are the flags then 'stiffened'? I'm sure you've said this many times in many other places but I do not have any WI or other similar magazines so I don't have access to ...
