WOTR first attempt...

As it says, I tried to paint without the demonic dip to see how steady my hands and eyes are, not very, opinions please but try to be nice guys i'm old and infirm... Base still has to be textured and sanded etc etc but I was trying to see how an impetus unit would look. http://i1055.photobucket.com/...

Re: Claymore Castings Medieval Scots

Very nice figures and beautifully painted, thank you for bringing them to me to see them and get me back into medieval gaming. I will make sure the wife's hate mail is aimed at you (get a food taster she may poison you next time you are over )

Seriously excellent work and gorgeous figures.

I'm in if the Loch Ness Monster (aka the wife) will let me out to play and drive me to the place.

Re: Perry Men at Arms

Nice work, minor niggle if I may, they are too shiny :( men at arms of the wars of the roses period were grimy and dull, maybe tone the silver down a little?

But love them, kind of makes me want to get mine back out and start them again when i have eventually done with napoleonics.

Not sure if you have seen Alan Pendlebury's napflags site but there are a few there.

Re: SALUTE: WAS IT JUST ME OR.....

Well as a paunchy (read very overweight) middle aged man, you will doubtless be relieved to hear I am leaving my camo smock in the wardrobe for Falkirk. :) The sad thing is these people join these societies and dress this way to "escape" their humdrum lifestyle, and monday they are back behind the b...

Re: Computer moderated rules for R2E?

Of course i like both versions, but that way the printed book can stay on my book case and not leave the house minimising risk of loss or being picked up and carried off by someone else as has happened previously with rules at events. A download code for 2 machines would be a good way to prevent pir...

Re: Computer moderated rules for R2E?

I would love a pdf version of BLB and R2E, as i said i frequently misplace rules due to my health issues but my ipad is always around my person so a version i could carry around digitally would be an amazing bonus for me.

Re: Austrians WIP

Looking forward to seeing them in anger on the tabletop, hope they don't have the "curse of new troops" and run away as it seems to be with most new units at Barry's events.

Re: Austrians WIP

The corps is only 19 Battalions (only) and a couple of units of cavalry. I am gluing the next 2 battalions of infantry together as i type, well waiting for them to dry obviously, never tried gluing and typing at the same time, i appear to be a couple of limbs short for it. The dip, well yep it works...

Austrians WIP

Okay, first thing i have painted in 3 or 4 years due to illness and medical conditions but getting back into it thanks to Paul McLauchlin. Saw these and just had to buy them, now assembling Rosenborg's IV corps from the 1809 campaign. http://i1055.photobucket.com/albums/s509/azerothuk/DSCF0053a.jpg ...
