To be honest the Wargames Soldiers and Strategy magazine is rapidly moving to be the most enjoyable and usable wargames mag for me on...

Battalion size was generally 24 figures , cavalry squadrons 6 or 8, and artillery batteries of between 2 - 4 guns depending upon nation. That gave us an Allied army of approximately 1240 infantr...

Bob , so far barry and kevin have agreed to make islands for the game. At the moment the plans are to paint some of the 8' x 4' boards to use for the open sea. That then just leaves the ports and these will either be coastal tiles or scratch built.

I'm glad to hear it. There are lots of articles going back over the years in many of the wargames mags but few have decent pictures of the game or maps. Given our array of figures, terrain and your own writing and map making skillls I look forward to seeing the final product. One small request. Don'...

Pirate Game

As discussed last weekend we will be using the LofA pages for regular communication updates on the forthcoming game. Given the size of the venue , places may be at a premium so I would appreciate everyone's full commitment to letting me know whether they plan on attending or not. My wife still can't...

Another visually stunning game up to the normal standards. First time for me not to be in the thick of the action so interesting to watch the game dynamics and individual personalities. Mike excelled this time with his dice throwing whilst Charles in his first outing with the LoGW successfully manag...

Great job Clarence. With Napoleonics it's hard to maintain a consistently high standard with so many figures required. You have succeeded. Thanks for sharing your hard work with us all. We should have upwards fo 4,000 painted 28mm Napoleonics on the table for our Waterloo game next month. We will tr...
