When talking about the 1796/1800 period the demibrigades consisted of 3 equal battalions (after mid 1794 no centre battalion of an old regiment flanked by 2 ex-volunteer battalions anymore). I always thought that the French Republic declared war against Austria and Prussia (1792) and against the Dutch Republic and Great Britain in 1793 and against other countries.

Bill, have bought the Front Rank ones but ndeed , these would be very large for cavalry. Will look nto the Hinchcliffe ones. And since last year we (alde garde) are pro 25mil (see our blog for crisis: www.aldegarde.blogspot.com)

A simpl question. I know the French infantry had a cravat and tassels on their flag; had the cavalry thes also?

Look if you can get (maybe via library) "Lodewijk XIV en de Lage Landen" by Etienne Rooms. Imho it's a great book about the 1672-1700 period from a historical view.

It was a great show and thanks to the organisers of TSoA. It was also nice to see a lot of people and put faces to the names.
As Barry said, LoA is a great period so we will expand our armies in this period as we think it has so much potential.
