Danes in the WSS

Iain

As usual a thoroughly comprehensive and helpful reply.

The platoon vs rank firing note was especially interesting.

Many thanks

Danish Troops in WSS

Iain Could you clarify something please? I thought the Danish and Prussian contingents at Blenheim joined Marlborough late in the campaign. Would they have been trained in platoon firing before or after they joined the army? Also I thought the Prussian contingent was largely the same that fought at ...

Contact List

I have increased my security, cleaned my computer, reset my Restore Point and changed my e-mail password so hopefully it will be prevented in future.

Urgent Attention of Barry

Barry

My personal e-mail contact list was hijacked today and I think you were on it. Any apparent message from me headed 'hey MAN' or 'Dear Man' should be deleted.

Brigade Skirmishers

Does this mean that a Prussian Fusilier battalion could not be deployed according to the 1812 regulations ie across the front of a Prussian 'brigade'?

Infantry Charges

We had an incident last night in our Marlburian game. A French battalion declared a charge on a shaken English battalion. However, on testing to receive the charge the English battalion threw high enough to remove his shaken marker. We assumed that as a result the charge was negated. Is that correct...

Got our copies today

Mine arrived yesterday. Very impressive and good value for money I think. Started reading last night. Didn't get very far, but immediately liked the artillery basing logic. Will only be doing small 2-player games, so now must see if I have enough painted figures to handle 20:1. Have some unpainted, ...

Artillery Hits & Cavalry Morale

Have just started a 10mm Marlburian Game and I have a couple of questions. They may seem a little obvious, but I just wanted to clarify. Artillery Hits - I think we are playing this correctly, but would appreciate the nod. Scores to hit infantry, for example, are 6@short range, 8@medium and 9@long (...

Field Artillery

Barry

Thanks. I assume that after re-aligning they would be treated as firing at a 'new' target regardless

Field Artillery

Question I have been meaning to ask. Is field artillery allowed to be moved in the sense of re-aligning to bring a target back within it's field of fire and if so what are the restrictions as regards time taken and die rolls for casualties?

Thanks
