heheh I came to the same conclusion and run them past the Hussars in pursuit. I did spend a bit of time after that when it was the Russians turn, trying to decide what the heck I was going to do about the purdy Cuirassiers sitting behind the lines when they reformed .... In the end, the Russians doo...

Thanks Barry, that helps abit. I saw that section and wondered if it applied as the unit broke after a couple rounds of melee, and the continuation part talked about target breaking before contact. There is a gap available for the Dragoons to run through, but they have to contract for flow through (...

Quick question

Hiya all, Just started another trial game, this time on a 6 foot wide table which has certainly made a nice improvement on 4 foot. Anyways, the quickie, A regiment of Cuirassiers eventually broke a unit of Dragoons, all good so far. Now the rout move, I couldn't find what happens when said Dragoons ...

Also on the flags,

Foundry has a wonderful download under the Napoleon rules of Russian Flags.

I was able to furnish all most all my flags from those and must say came out really nice, and free :)

Really enjoyed this scenario... another nail- biter either side could have won it right to the last throw of the dice but a narrow vicotry to the bloody but unbowed Allies.....
Sounded like fun :)

Don't suppose anyone took a few pics for the masses?

A slight correction that may get "re=corrected" lol But If a single unit uses form, you cant make multiple activations on an individual or brigade level, so once you choose form thats it for the turn. Check the single unit action orders on page 44. This caught me out a few times as well by reading t...

Way to hi-jack a thread woot :)) I suspect a Grand Battery in the offing to turn men into mince .... As for Russians, even thou i'm on other side of world, hows 21 battalions of Russians 32 strong, 11 regiments of cav and 4 batteries of guns to add to mix. Sadly the French are a little out numbered,...

I thought is was like that, but asked as I'm sure someone in the group will ask me lol. The other thing to remember is even thou he gets to shoot defensively in player 1 charge, I'll need to remember that player 2 unit can not fire again in his go that turn, provided he survives the combat

Thank you for that Barry, Ill try rephrase what I was trying to get at with the snap shot question. As I follow it, Turn 1 Player 1 shoots in shooting Player 2 charges player 1 and player 1 fires as a snap shot as hes already fired this turn all nice and clear on that side, but i'm coming from the r...

Questions and queries from the test game.

Finally got to play a solo test game to get a bit of a handle on some of the rules while people are away enjoying their holidays. The game was on a 8x4 foot table and have decided already that the table needs some more depth as a retreat or rout will send you off the table with out a chance to recov...

Thanks Barry, I saw the crew model numbers there and thought that was what it ment.

looks like counter battery is worth is at times as 2 rounds of shooting and a 6lb battery that was banging away, effectively ceases to exist ...

As I mentioned before the crash, outstanding :) One question comes to mind on the Artillery rules page. Range is measured from the guns axle to the nearest model in the target unit. Why did you decide to do it that way as opposed to the more usual base to base measure? As wouldn't that encourage peo...
