janbruinen wrote:Front Rank has ribbons to convert figures to French troops. Can these be used for the new LoA Hiltons'figures or would this be an idea for these figures. By this way there need to be made no extra figures
Are these out now? I read he was making them but can't find them on the web page.

Be careful what you derive from TMP.

In the WSS, the French used red. I'm not sure about earlier.

Hi, Footslogger! Do you have the link for that Staudinger book, please? I can't seem to find it on Google Books. Cheers! http://books.google.com/books?id=A_CgAAAAMAAJ&printsec=frontcover&dq=Geschichte+des+bayerischen+Heeres+unter+Kurf%C3%BCrst+Max+II.+Emanuel&source=bl&ots=qgXzbTqGNP&sig=vcl48IocSP...

OK The Feldzuge of Prince Eugene covers more than just his career - it also covers the activities of both the imperial and Reichsarmees. It is very detailed so I would recommend you look at it. Karl Staudinger wrote a detailed history of the Bavarian army of Max Emanuel Maffei was a General in the ...

Thanks for the info everyone.

I was thinking I would just use the generic WSS cav figures for British cav since they don't have buttonhole lace.

British cavalry uniforms WSS

I have a couple of the Robert Hall plates and some uniform books. A couple of questions, one easy, and one probably impossible. The Hall plates don't show any buttonhole lace for troopers. On the Front Rank British figs there is button - lace. Easy question, did the troopers have buttonhole lace? Fo...

Re: WSS: generals dress

Hi footslogger, I think from the rank of brigadier general upwards it would have been down to the individual on his fashion of uniform and horse. Officer's of this rank would have their servants bring extra horses from his home stables and belonging's for some campaign comforts. Uniform's would hav...

WSS: generals dress

I have all sorts of uniform sources, but I don't think I've seen anything about general's attire in the WSS. Were there standards or was it up to each general?

@Andy

some of the Robert Hall plates show grenadiers for Bavarians with felt mitres.
