Thanks Barry for making the time to respond. We're getting closer. Is it correct to say that except for charges, all actions in the MUST column are included in the MP expenditure for brigade orders? I still have questions about actions in the MAY column, but let's settle on the MUST column then I'll...

Please! Don't do that!

You might just ring him up. I asked last year around Christmas and he said he hoped to do them this year, but the NYW stuff seems to be consuming the whole year. I've suggested that it would be nice to have some Prussian specific figures and hope he does those, but I didn't get a response on that. I...

Nice stuff 18cg!

I've got to get a blog going one of these days.

Are you going to do the Gardes du Corps when Alec gets those figures done?

grenadiers in multi-battalion regiments

I couldn't find anything in Hall about company organization in French regiments. This is mainly about French regiments in the WSS but I guess it applies to other countries that have regiments with multiple battalions. Does each battalion in these regiments have grenadiers? Or was there just a single...

I actually painted up and use some of those purple/green GNW Danish artillerymen (although I think that they might have been raised in what's now Norway) . . . anyway, they look good . . . very distinctive. I like them. -- Jeff I have some purple paint I never use (came in a set from foundry), and ...

Didn't the French regiment Provence have the same uniform scheme (brown with red)?

As far as bad uniform schemes go, I think this is about the worst in this period.

Nice 18cg. The Cologne guys look good. It looks like you've given them 4 flags? I went to check the flag dude's flag listing and don't see any for Cologne there. Did he do a custom for you? I have the Robert Hall volume on Cologne and he shows a Leibfahne for them as well as a couple of other compan...

Hi Footslogger - have recently added this very regiment to my Grand Alliance Dutch army. I am no expert on the uniforms of this period, so I relied on the Hall plate. You are welcome to take a look at www.steve-nationsinarms.blogspot.com Nicely done! I'm going to be using the Hall plate based on Da...

Hall is correct. This is supported by Belaubre and Dr F.G.de Wilde, and August Kühn. I believe the Golberg plate is mislabelled. The Wagner plate done bz Golberg indicates red facings. Hope this helps. Thanks again. Looking at your response makes me want to understand the sources better. The source...

Dutch Salisch regiment

I'd like to paint these guys but not sure about how. I have the Robert Hall plate for them at Ramillies and he depicts them in white/gray coats with red facings, red waistcoat, white breeches and stockings. Belaubre/Goldberg doesn't have text but the plate they produce shows them with white/gray coa...

OK. Thanks. I used these two examples because I was pretty sure I knew the answer as you guys have supplied. But I don't know in general how to get to that answer. In the first case, I MUST charge (it's in the MUST table for attack orders) AND I have to pay extra for the single unit actions to do so...
