King James' Lifeguard of Horse

I've just finished these chaps...having had them 75% done for about the last 2 years  They represent the 2 Troops of Lifeguards and the Troop of Horse Grenadier Guards. http://i469.photobucket.com/albums/rr55/xhequimunqui/Lifeguard1.jpg http://i469.photobucket.com/albums/rr55/xhequimunqui/Life...

Nicely done.

I look forward to seeing them down the barrel of a cannon at the weekend.

Re: Hesse-Kassel Regiments for my Blenheim 1704 Project

I love the story about the Scottish roadie going round a French market trying to find a vegetable vendor who speaks English.

Finally he approaches a fellow and asks again.

"Yes monsieur, a little" comes the reply.

Re: Huguenot Regiment De Meloniere

I was going to mention my homage to Toggy. Glad someone spotted it first :D

As for Dumfries, I haven't been back to work yet to sort out the shift swap but it should be fine. These guys won't be making an appearance though as I think I've just sold them

Huguenot Regiment De Meloniere

I've finally put a flag on and based these chaps to finish them, in between painting stuff for Bob :) http://i469.photobucket.com/albums/rr55/xhequimunqui/Huguenots1.jpg http://i469.photobucket.com/albums/rr55/xhequimunqui/Huguenots3.jpg http://i469.photobucket.com/albums/rr55/xhequimunqui/Huguenots...

Re: Stripping Paint From Miniatures

For metals and resin, Fairy Power Spray. Put victims on baking tray. Spray liberally. Wait for 20 mins. Stick them in the sink and give a wee scrub with a soft brush - nail brush for example. This will usually do the trick but if not, just repeat the process. Tell wife you've cleaned the baking tray...

Re: Commanded Shot...

A wee spot of thread-nomancy here, but this weekend I thought the commanded shot rules modifications worked extremely well. Basically they could not claim the First Volley bonus, nor the All Musket bonus. This seemed to make them much more reasonable. A nuisance that had to be dealt with but not the...

Re: All ready for Derby March 1-3 2013

Good times. I dropped Bill off just after 8pm and was home myself sometime between 8.30 and 9pm. Slept for a very long time then went into night-shift last night. That was a bit of a slog  Anyway, it was great to see everyone that could make it and those that couldn't were missed. Looking forw...
