They are perfect for some of the Irish Regiments.

Re: BtLBv2 - Visual, game and rule effects with modified uni

Hello, Edward. I have modified some rulebooks for my local club in these years so, now, I am very careful with the balance of the rules. I am collecting my units in the same way than Ray, exactly! and I like the look of his pikemen. As you say, to put the pikemen in the center stand is to maintain t...

Re: BtLBv2 - Visual, game and rule effects with modified uni

I have been thinking about the question of the pikes, but on the other side :D . Because the pikemen are only a game mechanism, I´m thinking about to use only three of them in a 60 x 30 mm stand. But, about your question... 27 Infantry models is a BIG unit. Firing, you have no problem; using the "nu...

Re: WARFARE MINIATURES 28mm LoA RANGE

Hello, Barry.
I have seen the Warfare Models in the Shop and I would like to know if I need to order them or you have already the "pre-order" I send you by mail.

Thanks,

Juan

Re: French Dragoons 1704

I have found this piece in the TMP forum about the Regt Rohan-Chabot: At the time of the WSS, the regiment's name was Régiment de Dragons de Vérac . Pat Condray has Verac-Caylus as cuffs, vest and lining in blue and coat and breeches in red; white metal buttons; cap all red but a white pompom. Drumm...

Re: James II Irish Guards

Hello. (It is a sort of "examination" for me...) Scotland and Ireland had their own forces, submitted to the King. I think this Regiment was the one raised in April 1662 in Ireland (of course :D), for the Irish Establishment and different to the English and Scots Guards Regiments. You can find this ...

Re: Rebasing Highlander question

Gunfreak, you make the most with the space on the bases!!! I am using, at the moment, 60 x 60mm bases for my Front Rank NYW Infantry. There are not bayonets, arms, swords, etc, hanging and the stand looks great. About the Cavalry, I think I´m going to put them (Front Rank models) two in a 50 x 60mm ...

Re: Basing infantry 2 x 2

As all of you have said, it is only a question of personal taste. I hope I don't taste like chicken! Yes, after a quick search in my dictionary, I know that "taste" is not the better word I could have used  (afortunadamente, en castellano me defiendo un poco mejor). Ray, your British/English ...

Re: Basing infantry 2 x 2

I have based my Front Rank models in 60 x 60 mm, six models per stand. In this way, they are not touching nor "risking" bayonets, swords, etc. outside the base and I have enough space to put dead models, discarded weapons, etc. It results in a big unit, particularly with the pikes stand, but the loo...

Re: Basing infantry 2 x 2

I have been thinking about to put my infantry in 5 x 4 cm bases for 5 figures. It is a very good shape for figures like those from Copplestone and Perry (and Warfare, I supose) but not from Front Rank.

I am able to answer one of my own questions!

The drummers have reversed colours in their coats.

Re: Uniforms in the Irish Campaing 1690

Earl of Antrim Regiment in on the way, and I´m now preparing information for Kirke´s, the "Queen´s Regiment", I think. I would like to ask two (or three :? ) questions: What is the colour of the turns, red or green? What is the colour of the buttons, silver or gold? Had the sargents a silver lace in...

Re: WARFARE MINIATURES 28mm LoA RANGE

Yes! It would be fine to see some personalities and, also, a group of sappers and some pikemen with cuirass.
