Yesterday's battle

"PaulMc blooded the 338th Rifle Division at Karapol..." I'll say, they're still searching around the general area looking for their front teeth! :( German infantry are tough to shift when they're in a prepared position. Although I'm sure Shock Brigade Svyatoslav will have ample opportunities to aven...

Your figures

Hi Lyndsay,

Is there any chance of seeing pictures of some of your figures? They do sound pretty good.

Fine!

Hi Barry,

This arrangement is fine with me. Soviets were the first WWII figures I ever collected :D . All long since sold off though.

Re: Dragoons

Hi Barry, The accounts say that their movement problems are precisely to do with their riding boots. From James Falkner's 'Great and Glorious Days' he mentions an attack on Taviers at Ramillies by 14 squadrons from the King's, Notat, La Reine and d'Aubigni dragoon regiments, supported by 2 battallio...

Dragoons

Hi folks, I've started reading up on the history of this period, 'The Boyne' by Padraig Lenihan, Osprey book on Blenheim and Spencer's book on the same and also 'Great & Glorious Days'. I'm really enjoying it all so far, but I've noticed quite a few references to dragoons encountering difficulties w...

A printer, a printer! My Kingdom for a printer!

Well, I have still failed to completely print out all of these rules. I'll just have to keep reading them from my computer for the time being. Last night I got desperate and e-mailed them to my brother, who has absolutely no interest in gaming at all, (but he does have a printer  ) so I then v...

Ta Muchly!!!

Thanks Barry,

I've enjoyed reading the rules and have already decided that they are what I shall use for my games of this period. Of course my printer would have to run out of ink last night as I tried to run off a copy to read at my leisure.

RE: Drums

Hi folks,

The Perry's have separately cast drums on their ECW range too. I would presume they do that for their other ranges as well. Only problem with Perry's figures is that they all look so wonderful, I have to force myself to stick to one period at a time.

Flag Info

Hi there Barry, I love this site, it's been a real inspiration for me. I've loved looking at the photos of all of the figures, especially those from the 'League of Augsburg' period. Those uniforms and flags always remind me why I became a wargamer in the first place. I now have a problem, I MUST get...
