Hi all, managed to win a set on Ebay. Now have to start looking for some cheap die-cast pickups. If I can get some Pegasus russian buildings then a small campaign in the balkans would be the way to go. Especially when they find Oil there :D

AK 47 Rules help.

Hi wondering if anyone can help me. I have appeared to have lost my copy of AK47 rules from Peter Pig. This is the old version not the new one. For some strange reason watching pickups with big guns mounted on them racing around made me think of getting back into the rules. Also remembered Liberatio...

Mahdist flesh colours

I am looking to do a couple of small armies for Peter Pigs "Patrols in the Sun" rules. So I need to paint some Ansar (Nile arabs?) and some Beja (fuzzy wuzzies) Now I like using Vallejo paints and will be using a white undercoat with strong tone Army painter. Has any one any recommendations for fles...

Loads of people change bits of the rules. The point about support is does the unit in combat feel better that they have some friends on their flank than nothing. I don't think they would be to worried about the fact they are from a different brigade. If they do not give support they they would also ...

Yes anyone can count as supporting as long as they follow the rules for a supporting unit. Even units that could support but cannot count supporting would take a test if a unit broke. e.g. two units one behind the other. the unit in front is charged in the flank, the unit cannot add a support to the...

Hi Jim, Thanks for that. I think your flags might be the ones for when they fought for James.

The one I have seen is here

Dorringtons Regiment in French service Flags

As the title says, is there anyone who can point me towards the Battalion and Colonels colour.
I have a flag which is the cross of St George which has a crown in the middle surmounted by a crowned lion. Is this an earlier flag?

Any help appreciated
Thanks

Hi What my main interest was when giving combat values to Dragoons of the WSS period do we down grade them to much. Especially in the mounted role. Noting as I said the british army called all of their cavalry Dragoons later in the century I wondered if some countries did this earlier. Is the combat...

Hi Thanks for the reply. I knew about the Boyne and Ramillies but did not know about the Scots Greys. At Blenheim the Allies had approx 70 Squadrons of Dragoons in their OOB. What I am trying to work out is, should all of them be classified as Dragoons or were some in fact Line Cavalry but called Dg...

Dragoon or not a Dragoon that is the question.

Hi. Just a question for the more knowledgeable. Which Dragoons in the WSS would be considered Dragoons as we think of them and which are basically called Dragoons but are in fact line cavalry. It was something that came up in a conversation. Do French Dragoons tend to fight more in the classic Drago...

I usually have a project which I am painting. Example is the Saxon warbands I have just done. But on the table I will have say 6 Wars of the roses figures (small retinue) Squadron of WSS. couple of bases of FOW and odd individual figures. Mainly I use Vajello paints so if I have squirted out a bit t...
