Thanks Peter I'm bringing up my own' Michael Jackson' type 'Sterile Bubble'. I'm currently trying to attach a couple of Sainsbury's plastic bags to the front of it to be used as 'arm sleeves' so I can move my figures and throw dice. If it does'nt work (and theres glue everywhere at the minute!), the...

Dale/Chaps I'm happy for any food arrangements over the weekend. More importantly, can consideration be given by 'you Kirrie locals' as regards a good but 'not too rowdy', Watering Place for the Saturday evening drinking and discussion 'session'. Last venue (think it was The Thrums?) was'nt too cond...

Chaps Following on from the 'tree appeal' I've packed a 'proportion of Fangorn'. Think it will be 'good for about 6 to 8 tiles, coverage'! Considering i'm coming up on the train, 'sacrifices' have had to be made 'in other areas...........' Its taken me about an hour to pack, utilising every cubic in...

Roger

Thanks for the offer but I'm fine. It is'nt the 'transport/travel' thats so much of a problem but the actual 'pyshical size' of the 'gear'.

However........if we do need trees, then I may have a 'cunning plan'!

Chaps I've seen the 'tree appeal'. Just wondered if Angus knew (approx) how many 'tiles' are required to be 'wooded'? The reason for asking was that if we know, then a bit like Dave and his 'length..........(of earthworks), then we could 'gauge' if/how many 'trees to tile ratio' we are short. IF.......

Barry I'll be 're visiting' the idea of raising a regt and I'll be bringing up 'recruiting forms' to the Weekender! I'm hoping to be allowed 30 mins over the weekend to discuss 'recruitment' with you Gents (again!) at that time. Enough for now. Just off to 'wax the saddle'................. 'Ponsonby'

Kev Thanks for being the first to reply AND for being 'brutally honest'! Having lined myself up for such an obvious 'retort', I could'nt believe it took so many 'views' of my 'comment', before any of you replied!!!! One of the best reasons for being associated with you guys, is the Celtic humour and...

Is it SAFE?

Gents With todays 'announcement' about the 'rapid escalation' of Swine Flu, North of the Border, can any of you please shed light on 'the situation'? Down here in 'Gods Country', the national press (mainly the Daily Telegraph- now beginning to 'dry up' on MP's expenses 'diatribe') have calculeted th...

Dave ............'Strange.................. BUT True'............ As you know i'm planning a trip up there in July on a family 'day out'. We are really looking forward to it, especially my daughter who is bringing along her pet monkey, 'PePe'. She's even bought him a 'little suit' for the occasion!

Mein Gott , Kev!!!! Can't believe such 'abuse' from you! Just because you've 'absconded' from your usual 'mates' to go over to 'the darkside', I would still have thought better of you! You'll soon be sporting a 'dodgy droopy tache', bike clips, splashing on 'eau de garleec', 'humming' Vanessa Paradi...

Barry .............very good! Will copies of the 'Wargamers Bible' be available to 'contemplate' over the June weekend? OR... would you be able to give a 'surmon' and 'blessing' to us all, before the game commences? I think the 'French' will need it with the Allies having 3 out of the 4 'Horsemen of...

Gents/Dale Sorry Dale, I forgot you were 'wired up' on the IT front!!! (its so hard to digest after all those years.............). Anyway. At the March game was it discussed about 'possibly moving Peter's Indian Mutiny game to Kirrie, in the Guide Hall, for November- or did I just 'dream that'.........

Dave The '3 Stooges' have already 'blagged' the total accomadation allowance at what is probably the 'cheeriest B&B' ANYWHERE (outside of Grimsby anyway)!!!!!! Sorry Fellas. Unfortunately, as I 'predicted' when the Airlie first burnt down, I never ever thought it would be 'quickly operational', and ...

I know I don't know much about this period, so 'defer' to you 'lerned Gents' but is this Morrismalpas 'thingy' an actual battle? Reason I ask is that I've just looked through a book by a certain Charles Stewart Grant and theres no mention of it! It give details of a few other 'bun fights' around thi...
